These are some great prices. The blue De Ville is pretty nice.

I have the "blue jeans" railmaster and can highly recommend.

A watch you throw out after 3-5 years vs one that you can pass down to your kids. Sure, same thing.

Could say the same about manual cars, CRT TVs, etc but just like those things, mechanical watches are for enthusiasts and hobbyists. For many of us we own nice watches because we're actively avoiding another distraction device destined to be e-waste

Then your kids pawn it off to buy their 3-5 years watch. "3rd generation curse" continues..

That's the only piece of jewelry a man can wear and it got to be a real watch

Yep they are a reputable grey market dealer just don't expect a warranty on all brands or great customer service

Your opinion applies to yourself and peasants. In wealtthy circles, brands like AP, Patek and Rolex have taken off like fire. Peasants wear iWatches..the rich celebrities and athletes want to flex their wealth and it ain't a Omega or Tag Heur .....

Ya should try visiting your local Rolex store and see the "waitlist" for models like submariner and gmt where the reps will openly tell ya to spend $5k min just to get on a waitlist. And even now, certain Rolex models are still fetching over 40% in grey market. I bought a green bezel submariner in '21 for $10k and sold it to grey market for $21k in 3 months.

So to say no one is buying luxury brand watches is just ignorant...the rich people want to be seen with a luxury watch on their wrist ..not some cheap battery operated Smart watch. And Asia/Middle East continues to be the hub of fine Swiss watches and where the bulk of these sales go to.

Yea, it's still a thing, mostly to show off... but it will change in a few years, once you use a smartwatch once the utility is just so much higher... You will never go back to a traditional watch

False. These watches are basically jewelry. You think people will stop spending money on diamond rings anytime soon? Apple Watches are nice and all, but not the best for a dress to impress event like a wedding.

FWIW, I have an Apple Watch and a Grand Seiko. I wear the Grand Seiko at work and at event, the Apple Watch everywhere else.

If you buy watch to flex? You might revaluate your view on things. And if you think omega aren't good as rolex in terms of mechanical? Also you need to educate your self. Ap, rolex, Patek ain't even on the high end when it comes to prices but I get what you mean but these 3 brands are only better because of popularity not because they are that much better watches

Lol, judging from your comment, you know absolutely nothing about human psychology. Yet here you are throwing up your ignorance all over the internet.

Watches (jewelry, bling, etc) are absolutely a status symbol. That includes Apple Watches. They convey wealth, style, and even suitability as a partner. Apple and omega don't sell "functionality", they sell sex. Samsung on the other hand..
