I switched to a nylon velcro strap from aliexpress after my stock band broke (Fenix 6), and haven't given much thought to returning to Garmin brand, especially at those prices. There are some rubber ones on ali, as well, but the one I got was a little stiff where it bends for the pin. Thankfully I like the nylon one as much as I do. I now have it in a few colors, as they are, like, $3 each shipped (although they take a couple weeks to arrive.) Only downside to the nylon is that it stays wet longer. Another reason to have two.

Not sure if I'm allowed to link to aliexpress, but this is one of the few I bought:

just make sure you check compatibility/size

I bike 15 miles a day with mine, and that is not my experience

I suggest soaking it in vinegar.

I also just started using one almost identical off Amazon, got a pair of OD green and a black. They are really comfortable and lightweight, still my complaint with any of the 22mm bands is they seem too narrow for the 47mm case versions (Fenix 5+), I feel the 26mm bands are more stable. I've seen some similar nylon ones that are wider in areas but they look clunkier in general, need to get a Epix 2 pro 51 sapphire if ever goes on deal..

Are you referring to nylon bands in general or the ali express version specifically?

Anyone use nylon ones that could fit upper forearms/bicep potentially?

My G955 giving me some cadence lock and I did got an arm one for AW7, the HR reading on apple now is on par with Garmin's chest strap!

I had one of the Nylon bands from Amazon and it was great for the first few hours, but it has no give for when your wrist expands and contracts. It would either be too loose or too tight after a while and get super uncomfortable. I sweat a lot and even the stock rubber and off brand rubber/silicone bracelets would bother me after a while when wearing them tight.

I hadn't heard of these new ultra fit nylon bands from Garmin but when I saw that they had some stretch to them, I went ahead and bit on this sale and got it today. Initial impressions are that it should be more comfortable long-term than the cheap nylon bands.

The $239.99 band?!?! How can Garmin be serious charging nearly double for a "dumb" band than what an entire heart rate monitor costs?!?

Aliexpress for the win. I bought an apple watch band from there for $1.75 with free shipping and the quality was honestly just as good as my original band. Ended up buying every color and style and it was still less than a single original strap haha just took three weeks to arrive

I came here to say this.

I just bought Epix Pro 47 mm. With stock band, TPU case and glass screen protector, it was weighing mighty 84 grams.

Replaced it with AliExpress nylon bands, and now it's 64 grams.

BTW, I got two nylon bands for $7.5 shipped and arrived in 7 days from China. Band is super comfortable.

And most or all of the after-market stuff on Amazon is from Ali, including product pictures. So go directly to the source.

And yea, Garmin is in clouds with those prices.

lol, no. The Ultrafit bands are $31.99 with the current sale (about $40 shipped with tax).

Still not cheap, but reasonable for a first-party branded product. These are very similar to the Apple Sport Loops which sell for $50.

I don't know wtf they're doing with the $120 (Heathered weave) and $240 (Jacquard weave) Nylon bands, but they better be woven with gold thread.

I own different Garmin watch models.
I found Amazon has great bands at lower price with similar quality.

I've got the descent mk2 and dive several days a week. Anyone use the titanium bands from Ali? Any good?
