Oh, I've save a LOT of money at Walgreens with their weekly deals. I only shop there for their deals on stuff I would normally buy.
Between their weekly deals and the awesome folks here at SlickDeals posting those deals, I have saved a LOT of money!

This week...Not so much - but hey, this place ain't called "AlwaysDeals" It's Called SlickDeals - YMMV!

40% off of something is still a sale price though. If you buy something that is normally $100, and they take 40% off for you. You're only paying $60 and saving $40.

yes, for this spend $1 get $5 or $10 W cash reward stuff, I always go in the store, pick up a candy bar or something like that for $1.
Make sure clipped the coupon and key in the phone # for the reward, it usually credited immediately after walked out the store

Except CVS generally jacks up the regular price by 40% on most items Smilie.
BTW, it is usually 40% off one item, not the entire purchase. Also off late, they have gone down to 20% off.
