Lot of people in Target reviews suggesting it's a bad pressing. Lots of skips and crackles. Thanks, but gonna pass.

This is the "left over" greatest hits.
You want the real one with faces on the cover, the real "Greatest Hits"..

I kinda feel like older original a bit dusty ones sound better, just sounds like vinyl. I don't have this or other recent releases but my original print Hotel California, Dark Side of the Moon and Welcome to my Nightmare sounds excellent for some reason. Some of the other newer stuff ---not so much, might as well listen to them on CD. I guess this one tried to make it a bit older sounding but they went overboard, and it's crackling and skipping according to reviews.

Just curious - are there any good pressings of records sold in these big retailers stores? I usually go to my local record store but wondering if I should consider records from BB or Target.

Yes, honestly I have better luck through Target than I do my local store for wide releases. There's no markup, the presses are equal , and I get better customer support in general from Target. The only thing Target is bad at with records is shipping. They won't use media mailers the buck of the time they will be in a giant oversized box with a few pieces of bubble wrap tossed into for good measure. I get all my Milan releases through Target because of their B2G1 free sales. Other than that, wide releases and clearance pick ups are great.

Yes. I have gotten many good pressings from Target and Walmart. If you get a bad record they take returns unlike most record stores I go to. The records are all pressed at the same places like GZ Vinyl whether you buy it at a record store or Target.

Older vinyl records were often transfers from original tapes. A lot of the newer vinyl records are transfers from compressed digital recordings which means adding vinyl distortion/inaccuracies to an already compromised recording.
