. True. At this price, however, it might still be a decent deal. I've replaced all my home dispensers with glass foamers and buy concentrate.

yup - not a waste if you are using foaming pumps and filling them yourself using soap + water. This is essentially equivalent of 10 bucks of liquid soap - 10 bucks for 10 oz is expensive.

Do they work well? What percentage of soap to water do you use and do you just use Dawn or something like that?

As a sidenote. Noticing a bug on Amazon with coupons where the checkbox does not show up to activate coupon until after I add to cart and return to page

My wife refills these with Dr Broners Castile soap. I think a ratio of 1 soap to 4 water, maybe 3

Simple....save the 10 oz. bottle (in this deal). Chose whichever Method "flavor" you prefer and purchase a refill of the regular Method hand soap (not the foaming variety). Use 3 ounces of the hand soap and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Leave a small amount of space (for mixing purposes). Shake it gently a few times and voila!....Method foaming soap!....and you'll be saving a considerable amount of money! You must use either this bottle (with it's foaming pump) or another foaming dispenser.
Eventually, the pump needs to be replaced (they can fail after being used excessively). The easy option is to simply purchase another Method 10 oz. foaming bottle and save the pump after it's depleted or purchase a few of these now (to have extra pumps on hand for future use).

If it's "foaming soap" that you're getting, it's not concentrate. It's actually diluted hand soap. If you really want to save money, follow my instructions above.

It's pretty simple to make..I don't even measure the ratio every time...I meant just eyeball it for about 1/4 or 1/3 of the bottle with hand soap then fill to half with water, give it a good shake. Leave it for about 5-10 mins for it to settle then fill up with water.

The entire volume needs to be mixed well, so just fill it close to the top with water (leave a quarter of an inch), shake it gently a few times, and you're done. There's no need for anything to settle.

I wouldn't recommend using Dawn. It's not intended to be used as hand soap. See my post above (using Method hand soap refills). It works very well if you follow my instructions....and it costs a fraction of what you'll pay for these bottles individually!

True....but if you mix your own (see my other post), it'll cost you very little to use foaming soap. The primary advantage to using foaming soap (IMO) is that it rinses off faster than regular hand soaps, so you're using less water. Unless your hands are very dirty, it works quite well.

I've been using Palmolive for years, seems to work well. I use a 5:1 soap to water. The pump does go bad after about 5 refills though.

just ordered this a few days ago when it was posted for $1.97 if only to get the pump bottle it was in.

I've read the comments about the pump going bad after a few refills, but it was worth 2 bucks to replace another circular based soap bottle that had broken. kids have a harder time knocking the round ones down, and like everyone's been saying, we're going to be refilling this with other diluted stuff anyway until it dies.

5 parts is a bit high. Usually 3-4 You can buy a 16 0z bottle of liquid soap at The Dollar Tree for $1.25 and convert it to 80 oz of foam soap. 4 parts water + 1 part liquid soap x 16 0z = 80 oz foam.

This deal would be the equivalent of 2 oz of liquid soap for $2.25 (plus the .50 credit)
