They've come out with other models since then, I'm not versed enough to know if there're big differences between them hence not being sure if it matters.

There's two versions on Amazon. 2017 and 2022. They are at different price points. It would be quite odd if the 2022 Brio had no improvements over the 2017 model, but I suppose anything is possible in retail Wink

Components do get changed out. Upgraded or cheaper components are used. The core specs should be the same and no loss in functionality.
I have this camera, but i set it at 1080p for calls. It chews bandwidth running 4K.

At this price, it is a buy if you need a webcam.

Brown box, is the business version. These are sold in bulk to companies. No difference in the actual hardware. Support and packaging are different.

Yes, it is.

Also, although I waited like 3-4 months during the pandemic to get my hands on one of these at list price, I'm not a fan of this camera unless I'm running NVIDIA Broadcast which will do a decent cropped down digital pan/zoom/follow on your face. Mine has a habit of losing focus enough to notice, even with a key light.

Based off some initial research it seems like the only differences are the logo (2022 says 'Logi' instead of 'Logitech') and supposedly newer firmware. Seems moot to me.

Ten seconds googling and it's a definitive yes direct from Logitech. I truly hate MS face recognition, it is no more reliable than fingerprint login that MS has had for what, like 14 years now? You register your face, use it exclusively to log into your corporate laptop. Inevitably in 2,3, 6 months your face stops working and you have no idea what PIN you set since they never ask you for it. If you are a typical non-IT worker, you get to spend 30 minutes or more with your company's help desk. Thank you please, no thanks. "You know you can log in with your Windows password?" You mean my Novell password??? SMH Just type a PIN, what does it take 3 seconds if you have palsy LOL.
