This was 630 last month in case you are interested. The main issue from the last thread was some people say the OLED touchscreen appears grainy screendoor look on white backgrounds.

What's the best non Apple laptop deal right now in your opinion? Any good ASUS?

I don't want to be that guy but I think when this was 630 it was a fantastic deal. I can't seem to buy something knowing it was significantly less just a few weeks ago.

Not even sold or shipped by Walmart but by a third party seller, which the OP did not mention.
Considering this has been way cheaper before and Zenbook 14X with i7-13700 has been $699 numerous of times, this is not a good deal at all.

No need to delete. Maybe just edit your post to say that it may not be sold by Walmart but third party.
It's probably an SD member selling it after buying it for 630 lol.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 looks good. Best buy often has them on sale for $550. But would recommend getting the MacBook M1 as it will beat it hands down on both the hardware and software.

Screendoor affect only if you notice or are particular about it.
I got this laptop for wife when it was 630, i notice the grain almost every time, wife doesn't.
I still haven't told her why I ask everytime if the screen is fine when she's on a white background lol

I guess you missed the part where the person asked for non Apple? Also book3 for 550 is 8gb not 16gb like this deal. 550 for any 8gb laptop is overpriced.
Actually just returned this Zenbook today. I bought it during the $630 sale. I also bought the HP Pavilion Plus 14 from Costco. If you have them sitting side by side, the screen on the HP is better. I don't know if that's from the improved on board graphics of the HP or from the digitizer on Zenbook. But you can see more detail in videos and photos on the HP. The Zenbook looked slightly smudged in some instances. I tried different color settings but did not get any improvement. The HP also looked more vibrant and gets slightly brighter. Changing the color setting would not improve the Zenbook. Again not sure if it was from the digitizer on the Zenbook or the improved graphics processor on the HP or it's IMAX enhanced screen configuration.
I turned the touchscreen off on the Zenbook in Control Panel under Devices and it made no difference in the presence of the digitizer.
The build on the Zenbook is better, but only slightly. The keyboard and trackpad are better on the Zenbook, but again only slightly. The HP has the useless row of keys down the right side, but it's not horrible. It just makes the keyboard off center of the trackpad and causes your right hand to end up over the trackpad more when typing. It can cause the cursor to move unintentionally. The silver HP looks great not matter how much you touch or handle it. The black Zenbook is a finger print and smudge magnet and looked awful after 20 minutes of using it.
The Zenbook has some appealing battery and screen care software. It has a setting to only charge the battery to 80% to improve the life of the battery. The screen software has pixel shifting to prevent burn in and you can choose different color profiles. HP doesn't have any of those offerings.
I have yet to hear the fans on the HP and it never gets even slightly warm. Same tasks on Zenbook, surfing the web or watchin videos, fans are on and it's warm to the touch. If you choose "whisper" setting on the Zenbook for fans, the chassis gets warmer.
Overall, the minor inconveniences of the keyboard and slight difference in build quality on the HP were easier to overcome than the screen quality, fan noise, heat, and fingerprints/smudges on the Zenbook.
