Next year, the IRS will launch free software for everyone. Hopefully, it will be way simpler since they already got our info.

I posted the earlier deal as well. However, net $14.99 for Deluxe + State is still a very good deal IMHO.

Yep, must be the Slickdeal effect impacting the price.

Order declined for $20 gc only. This better not be a bait and switch

I think this was the lowest (effective) price last year. This mornings deal was a price mistake I believe.
That said, I'm going Cash App or FreeTaxUSA this year because I refuse to give any more money to Intuit or H&R Block.

Because of lobbying?

Do cashapp and free tax USA support reporting investments (stocks)?

I got in on it this deal this morning (for $27.99)

-My software email arrived and I downloaded the software
-My uber gift card arrived and was applied successfully to my account

My credit card shows two charges pending that seem accurate to me:
Jan 5, 2024 NEWEGG INC. $20.00
Jan 5, 2024 NEWEGG INC. $7.99

FYI, for me, this worked well.

I was using turbo tax deluxe for the last 10 years, and I wanted to try H&R Block this year. Is this deluxe + state same as that deluxe + state? Could I import 2022 TT file into here and get started? I appreciate any comment / feedback. Thank you

Yes, this is Deluxe + State, and you can import your 2022 TT

I switched a few years ago once it became impossible to sail the high seas with the software.. there's minimal differences between the two that I noticed. I see no reason to spend double for TT.
