I was using turbo tax deluxe for the last 10 years, and I wanted to try H&R Block this year. Is this deluxe + state same as that deluxe + state? Could I import 2022 TT file into here and get started? I appreciate any comment / feedback. Thank you
Yes, this is Deluxe + State, and you can import your 2022 TT

I switched a few years ago once it became impossible to sail the high seas with the software.. there's minimal differences between the two that I noticed. I see no reason to spend double for TT.
Good deal. Unfortunately I need premium. Maybe they'll do something similar with it
Deluxe Desktop should support all the same tax forms as Premium Desktop, though potentially with less guidance.
However, the online versions are different and have significant differences between Premium and Deluxe.
I was originally going to write that Deluxe Desktop supports everything that Premium Desktop does, but I see someone posted elsewhere that 2022 Deluxe Desktop doesn't support the (probably rare) situation of having all three of: (a) a loss on Schedule E, (b) income on Schedule C, and (c) ACA subsidies, while Premium does support it.
I had to stop using the software a couple years ago since they discontinued support for a form I needed in the Desktop edition, so I switched to something else.
wished they had option to mail the cd instead of download
I think the CD is pretty useless by itself, since you need to download the form updates anyways. I generally just save a copy of the installer in online storage if needed.
I think this was the lowest (effective) price last year. This mornings deal was a price mistake I believe.
That said, I'm going Cash App or FreeTaxUSA this year because I refuse to give any more money to Intuit or H&R Block.

Do cashapp and free tax USA support reporting investments (stocks)?
It has become simpler due to increase in standard deduction. I use Cashapp and Credit Karma before as my tax situation is simple. For business and other complex tax situations you'll need these paid softwares.

Cash App is fine with stocks, but has a few limitations like multiple states, certain foreign tax credits, etc.
FreeTaxUSA can handle most complex situations, including the above cash app limitations.

Definitely, although they won't import from brokerages. That said, this limitation is overblown as you really don't have to report each transaction like some people seem to think, just the aggregate that's on each 1099 already. The IRS has all the detailed info on the 1099-B copy the brokerage sent them.
(Which begs the question of why do we need to put all this info in manually… oh right, Intuit and H&R Block lobbying).
People, please stop buying these crappy GC deals from newegg, last to last year they had pretty good prices without bothering with GCs.
If you stop buying, they will come back : )

Lol, it probably only took like $187B from taxpayers
Like if they wouldn't spend this much, this money wouldn't go to your wallet either.

Yes indeed. And their extremely deceptive marketing practices.
