If you prefer shredded potatoes then Sam's and Walmart carrys two-poind dehydrated ones for $8.98 (Golden Grill Premium Hashbrown Potatoes).

They are pretty good.

Those do look good. The main selling point of these is that they are more geared towards survival/prepper folks, with a 25 year shelf life.
