I bought this locally with a bunch rebates for a total of about $1k. Overall, very qiuet dishwasher, the drying is very impressive. The only thing that is bad is who ever designed the inside has never used a dishwasher before. My old dishwasher could be loaded up to the max. This just can't do it because of how everything gets mounted. So if you have a pot or big pan, it may have to wait...

Cool story bro.

Anyone know if the Bosch will still dry without the rinse solution? I don't want to use that every dish cycle. Looking to replace an 8 year old basic dishwasher soon, which has its own drying issues.
Mine dries fine without rinse solution...

Great surprise the wife on Valentine's Day, instead of that pricey purse she had her eye on. Tomato

Unless you must buy from Costco for free installation/haul away or whatever, there's no reason to purchase this 2022 model over 2023's model.

Especially when BB has the new model on sale for cheaper

Not sure the hate for the 800 lol I've had mine for half a year and it's a huge upgrade from my old KitchenAid. You can't even tell it's running until it pumps some water out every now and then.

I personally have no problem buying RinseAid to help with drying. Yes, it adds a bit to the cost. But I have it set to use the most minimal amount of RA, and sometimes I don't even use it and just let everything air dry. If you don't use RA, it helps to just crack the door open a bit to help with the moisture.
Plus $200 or more for delivery, install, haul away etc.

We've got an 800 series. Very good dishwasher, quiet and washes well. The Crystal Dry is just a marketing gimmick. It heats up the dishes but doesn't remotely dry them all.

I have the 800. Without the rinse solution, it essentially doesn't dry a damn thing.

I know I'll get a lot of hate for this, but I despise my Bosch 800. I wish I never bought it.

It doesn't dry unless you spend additional money on other products, which is absurd.
The dish drawers have everything spaced waaaay to close together. So it's really freaking hard to fit things in it. Like, if your plates anything other than super flat, you're going to have issues. Deep bowls do not fit in this dishwasher at all. Period.
I have to dry all my dishes when it's done washing, because I refuse to buy additional products for a premium product, and the auto air does nothing.
Since all the plates are together so close, it doesn't wash them well. I consistently have to rewash dishes as soon as they come out of the wash (yes, I pre rinse them).

And is it quiet? Not really. It's is definitely quieter than the 20 year old unit it replaced. But I never thought that old unit was loud or distracting to begin with...so the loudness isn't really something to care about. I have old pipes, so I still hear the Bosch taking in water and flushing it around.

All in all, I despise it. If anybody in NJ wants to buy mine from me, please get in touch. I genuinely miss my 2004 KitchenAid that this replaced.
That's weird. We don't use rinse aid with our 800 series and we've never had an issue drying. I wonder if there's other factors that play into how dishes dry? As for the plates being close together, I had to manually adjust the prongs (or whatever you want to call them) to get an equal distance between dishes. That solved our problem with dishes being too close together (while others were farther apart).

My Bosch 800 is at least 10 yrs old. Until I purchased it I had never owned a dishwasher which truly cleaned dishes without hand scrubbing first and didn't know such a dishwasher capable of thoroughly cleaning unrinsed dishes existed.

When my current one dies, or if I move, I will immediately replace it with this unit.

The 3rd rack for utensils, adjustable racks (height and prongs), and exceptional drying are also perks that make this a fantastic appliance.

You'll appreciate the time this saves you each day. We'll worth the upgrade.

In my area, Costco doesn't offer free installation anyway and BB offers free delivery. But yeah, if you must buy from Costco, go ahead.

i believe the latest bosch 800s should have a spray washing arm called powercontrol. these costco ones still are not caught up to that yet, so i'm going to wait. if anyone else personal experience with the powercontrol spraying system, please do tell! we currently have a 7 year old bosch 800 and it's time for a replacement pretty soon based on the slightly reduced cleaning effectiveness.
7 years is pretty weak for a top of the line Dishwasher ? My old Maytag I installed in 2002 lasted til 2019 before needing replacement !

Spending pages trying to figure out if the damn thing today even dries the dishes lol. That's what it has come to today, thanks for proving my point

Any big benefits for the new model? I can't find anything online
Hah, they made it very hard to compare the models. I purchased mine when it first came out and there was no review. After a bunch of back and forth with multiple reps, I think the only diff is that they're all WIFI-enabled (vs specific B models from 2022), and that they have Power Control for the Precision Wash.

Cadillac of dishwashers. Our Bosch has been running since 2006 (sure I've jinxed that now). The motor did die 2 years back and we got that replaced. It's so quiet that we have to sometimes check if it's running or not.

Anyone who bought homedepot model 800 series there is no projector light for cycle timer on floor. It has only one white light while cycle is running. Is there anything in setting? I had connected wifi and it send me messege when cycle is finished. I can even see progress in app.
