So they changed the product this year. Last year was my first try and each kernel was covered in dark chocolate. Now the photo indicates they are randomly mixed in. Shame, I really liked it.

They didn't change the product necessarily, as they sold both the dark chocolate mix and the all dark last year...but only sold the mix this year. I really liked the all dark chocolate too.

Ahh, I see. Yeah I checked my order history on the site and the item I bought last year showed not available. Not sure I would like this as much, so I bought the drums as they were a decent value and I still like the concept but just really like dark chocolate. Thanks for clarifying it for me.

Np. I'm in the same boat, as I searched like you and was disappointed they weren't selling it again this year. The have another dark chocolate [macys.com] (not the dark chocolate salted caramel mix from the OP's link), but it's not priced as low as the others yet.

Oh yeah, I saw that. But the tubs were a better deal with SOME dark chocolate pieces. I bought mine on Jan 14 last year, so I assume that's when the lower price point will be reached. I could have waited for these, but my level of excitement wouldn't be raised even if they were the $6-7 one might forecast. I want what I bought last year and will burn down every Macy's if they don't bring them back this year so I can capitalize on the units they purchased too many of. Smilie

Replying to this comment, but really sending this as info for me and others for next year...
Because I really like moose munch and several of the flavors I got last year, but also b/c I wanted to pay what I paid last year, I checked prices couple times per day, every day. After the sale mentioned in this thread, the prices for the various flavors went back up to $23.99. For some flavors (not dark chocolate), the prices came down to $16.99 last week, but nothing lower...until overnight last night (apparently), as I checked last night and the prices were $16.99-23.99...then this morning only the caramel was available at $3.99 as a deal of the day. Now, they're all gone. Again, this is more of a note for me to not be greedy next year, and to jump when the prices are in the range mentioned in this thread.

Thanks for sharing this info as it's interesting to see how it tracked price-wise. You really put in the effort and it surprises me the prices stayed as they did. It's good stuff and I just finished the last bag last night of the first tub I bought and now have the other one to start on before it expires in May. I'm okay with having it once a year, but would NEVER pay much more than I did.
