Most are probably familiar with the comic via Amazon's cartoon series. From the same guy behind The Walking Dead comic book.

It's basically a subversion of traditional superhero comics with an evil Superman-like character fathering a superpowered human son.

Recommended for most Marvel and DC fans.

Volume 1 is sold out. But picked up volumes 2 & 3. Was looking for a deal on these. Will have to see if I get lucky on Vol 1 on the next couple months.

If anyone is interested, the kindle version of Vol 2 is on sale for its lowest price ever. I posted a deal just earlier today. Personally, I purchased the kindle version of Vol 2. Will wait for deals on Vol 1 and 3.

They are both in mortal Kombat 1 as dlc I think, so you can have Omniman fight homelander I think. But yeah Omni-man would wreck homelander without breaking a sweat.

How much do these regularly sell in online comic shops? I don't trust amazon price as a baseline because I've seen some outrageous prices from them for compendium and omnibuses even when they weren't particularly scarce.

This is a fantastic series. I would just say don't buy this series for you pre teen they are definitely more adult or mature young adult themed.

Most comic shops in my area will sell omnibus / compendiums of popular series like this at or near MSRP. Occasionally you'll get lucky and find them at a deeper discount, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Just note that with Invincible there is a hardcover and a softcover version of the compendium. The hardcover generally sells for a significant premium over the softcover. I just finished Invincible Compendium One and really enjoyed it. I'll pick up 2 & 3 and would recommend the series.

i get that. that's why i asked about online shops. What does this usually sell for online shops? Online (excepting amazon and barnes and nobles) tends to be cheaper than brick and mortar shops.
