I have this laptop it's a beast. The display is bright and crisp, the machine is super fast for anything I throw at it. It's a big machine but not that bulky compared to previous predators. Highly recommended as a desktop replacement.
I meant lowest price for 13900HX/4080/18 LED specs across competition - ROG Strix, Alienware etc.
I guess none of them offered Mini-LED under $2000.
Yes, precisely. Very few brands offer mini-led 4080 laptops, and that too, 18". Acer is among the very few and out of all, this is the cheapest right now.
Acer also has a 16" with the same specs and it was $1899 a few weeks back.
I've never been a fan of Acer because of their quality control issues over the decades, but this laptop had me seriously interested. Had this been $1599, I would have pulled the trigger.

Trying to get rid of my surface book 2 so I can do some solidworks and gaming.
My surface book 2 lags hard while trying to model text in solidworks for 2d printing, probably because of the low ram and 1050 graphics card.
Guessing this is overkill, but it's cheaper than purchasing a surface laptop studio 2.
