All Yoga laptops have a major hinge design issue, hinges go bad after a year or so, sometimes causing the screen to break. Lenovo tries to blame it on the user even under warranty. I escalated the ticket and was able to get it fixed for free under extended warranty but the job was so poor that touch screen was not aligned right and stopped working after 3 months, webcam privacy didn't work right anymore and webcam was dirty and pretty much unusable. Didn't even bother to fix it again and went to buy a different brand after having used Lenovo laptops for 20 years. Tons of complaints over at Lenovo forums.

I wonder which manufacturer does not have a hinge design issue. I've had same problem with Dell and gateway. I'm guessing HP left?

eBay's "cert refurb" is very flexible description and depends on the seller's honesty. Sometimes it just means it was slightly kinda cleaned with Clorox wipes.

These are lenovo refurbished. I got two a couple months back and both look brand new with 1 charge cycle. Manufacture date Sep. 2023.

However, Lenovo website shows warranty expired. Looks like Lenovo unloaded these to reseller without providing any warranty.

Or, like me, you buy from this seller and the item is marked "like new" and comes with a dent in the back. And then have issues getting them to respond and process a refund.

bought some other laptops from the same sender before, they repackaged it in a tiny box with air foam. also windows installations sometime is just wonky. had to reimage using lenovo recovery. also they do get lenovo refurbished warranty, but you can't add add ons like Accidental drop coverage.

Got mine today, absolutely pristine, 2 charge cycles. I'll do further tests, but so far I am very happy!
