I'm from central Florida and knew what venison was by about age 7. I think we're just being trolled.

Is it really 'unnecessary' though? It's preserved, unrefrigerated meat - got to put something in it as a preservative if not using modern chemical preservatives, salt has been the go-to preservative for meat for millenia. Do you have a preferred suggestion for a low or no sodium preserved meat product instead?

Venison = Deer meat . . . huh, I never heard of that word until now.
Ohhh this is a fun game. Front runner is California BUT that seems to obviously and I feel like they have wildlife there. So I'm gonna go Southern instead. Florida?

Got one of these during a free giveaway. They are not tasty. They may be healthier than regular beef jerky, but they certainly taste like it.

Grew up in FL, lots of deer (pests) there. Rather than be regionalist, I'm going to guess they're from a large urban area and never left the city, maybe urban NE US if I was forced to guess, but really could be any place covered wall-to-wall concrete and asphalt and deer are something you see on TV.

I find alot more ignorant people in West Coast and North East states to be honest.
WOW, what great state do you come from that has such an enlightened and educated population? Obviously you have a very elitist view of who you are and where you live.

If you are going off the government recommendations for nutrition and health you are going down the wrong path.
I recommend you look elsewhere for more factual information.

sure for example jack links peppered flavor is about 25% less sodium than this product, not saying is any heathier, just throwing the number since you asked. Also, this thing has 27% DV sat fat per serving, while most jerky is almost fat free, about 2% per serving. Not sure why such high fat in jerky as venison is pretty lean

We call it venison in Michigan, originally named for the meat of any wild game but primarily for the meat of deer.

Agreed. I've picked up different varieties of this brands products because their packaging always draws me in but every variety has disappointed.
