When I was researching AIOs, this, and other similar DeepCool models, seemed to have some of the best performance, beating many more expensive brands. I have a slightly different model and it has been great.

At 55 to 65 bucks for a 360mm AIO the value for these things is insane right now and better than anything out there. I can't attest to how they compare against this Deepcool but Thermalright is a fairly reputable company that has been around for a long time.

I just built a new PC and considered liquid cooling, but opted for a thermalright air cooler that someone posted on Slickdeals a couple of months back. Cost $36 and does a great job. My CPU (i9-12900) stays around 24 - 27 degrees for basic work, and around 33 degrees for light gaming (red dead, civ 6, GTA). The hottest it ever got was 44 degrees, and that was during video rendering, which is very CPU heavy. Only downside is that it's a really big cooler. If you have the space in your case, it's a cheap option.

I have an i7-14700k and my Thermalright Peerless Assassin I'm hitting 100 degrees Celsius in a synthetic load test. Wondering if this will fix my issue and get those temps under control?

Only AIO I had fail was deepcool. Pump starts failing and makes a horrible grinding sound. Had two pumps fail.

FWIW, Ive got a 13700K with a $40 Thermalright Peerless Assassin SE 120 and running Prime95 for a good 15 minutes only gets one or two cores up to around 85-87C max. Well below the thermal cutoff of 100C. I took that as, unless you're seriously looking to overclock or are after the aesthetics of a three fan AIO, then you probably dont need to spend this much on a cooler.

I like this cooler (I have it on a 7950x) but beware. The fans on this are the same model as the 3 pack except the 3 pack is a different fan. I only know this because 2 out of the three fans I had went bad, like horrible noise and stuttering. When I went to replace them, the cooler fans have higher static pressures. I had a decent experience with RMA (twice) and got replacement fans. I have a 3 pack of the standard 120 case fans and 3 on the AIO. Probably would have switched brands on the fans if I didnt have so many.

I dont regret the cooler through. Its does its job. As an aside, you might see it mounted different ways (hoses on the bottom of the CPU or to the side). Deepcool told me it doesnt matter so dont go all OCD about it like I did. I prefer them on the bottom so they arent hanging over my RAM as much.

I bought and used a Corsair H150i capella XT 360mm cooler. I mean I just finished my build last night. If it wasn't for me using their fans(9 in all) I would have been all over this. For what you save I could have easily put a 4070ti in my build instead of the 4070. This deal just had to drop after I already completed my build.

I have it in white complimenting my black and white build. It was reasonably priced at the time, and performance appeared satisfactory so I took the chance and have been pleased since. in fact i also use their FC 120 fans. GamersNexus has some test results.

That's weird because my 14700k is hitting 100C with an Peerless Assassin under synthetic load. I think my motherboard might be running a bit of an overclock but I haven't looked too deeply in to it.

I'm really wondering what's up

What thermal paste are you using? Are you suuuuuuure you took the protective plastic off of the bottom of the cooler before you put it on? Believe it or not that does get folks sometimes. Have you confirmed the cooler fans are hitting their max RPM under load? If not try adjusting the cooling profile on the motherboard or with software. I have read the 14th gen does run hotter than the 13th gen, but something doesnt sound right there.

First off did you buy this system or did you actually build it ?
Like @ben_r_ said sometimes its something simple like the film not removed from the heatsink. Or the thermal paste is too thick or not enough.

I have a 12700KF on air cooling (ID-COOLING SE-207-XT Slim) and I use a utility from Intel called the Extreme tuning utility
With it I lower my Vcore just a small amount to keep the processor from ever reaching 100c
My setting is -0.175 (yes minus 0.175) you should start off with minus 0.010 and keep testing till you get the under-volt and temperature you desire.
Mine now tops out at 92c after a full run of cinebench R23 multi-core
