Here are the movies ranked by their Rotten Tomatoes score (critic/audience). I usually stick to the 70%+ to avoid the time wasters. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/

Milk (HD) - 93/89%
I Am Bolt (HD) - 86/62%
Trainwreck: Theatrical or Unrated (HD) - 84/66%
Charlie Wilson's War (HD) - 82/73%
Airport (HD) - 75/53%
Adrift (HD) - 71/62%
The Express (HD) - 62/75%
Cheech and Chong's: Next Movie (HD) - NR/71%

The Nutty Professor (HD) - 64/44%
Home (HD) - 53/64%
You Should Have Left (4K) - 40/25%
The Bone Collector (HD) - 28/63%
7 Days in Entebbe (4K) - 24/37%
Beethoven's 5th (HD) - NR/32%
The Bagman (HD) - 11/22%

Wow, it took Universal forever to add new films. The 4k movies are trash. I might just add "The Express" to my collection. Eddie Murphy is pretty hilarious in the nutty professor too.

Nothing great though this month.

Heads up: You Should Have Left is only 4K on MA. It doesn't transfer 4K to Vudu or iTunes. Only HD.

You Should Have Left supposedly redeems in 4K, but it doesn't seem to be available in 4K on VUDU or Amazon yet. Maybe it'll get an upgrade when it's available in 4K later?

It seems to be available to stream in 4K on Peacock TV.

It's weird that they picked Beethoven 5. Why not start at 1...

This has been a bit of a disappointing ride for me so far. I actually really wanted Tremors back in August, but had a bizarre account issue that was not resolved until September.
I've watched every month since and I have yet to see something I truly wanted.

I feel like I might have redeemed for the first movie, watch it with the kids.
I'll pass on the 5th.
Pulled it up on Youtube to be certain, but yes - I am officially more familiar with the actual musical work "Beethoven's 5th" composed in 1808 than this movie.

I've finally spent the bulk of my points after months of redeeming mediocrity on a monthly basis. I'm happy to see Charlie Wilson's War and The Express, but neither are offered at full res even though they are available in 4K on VUDU. I'm not going to miss monitoring this webpage monthly, but at least Universal is more generous with rewards than most other studios. The only other major studio that offers rewards is Sony and 99% of their free offerings are trash.

No, still the same list since October. I never thought I would 'buy' The Brothers Solomon, but I had to redeem or lose a code after 90 days...

Next up for an expiring credit if they don't rotate the list is Double Team [youtube.com]. JCVD, Mickey Rourke, and Dennis Rodman

do the codes actually become unusable after 90 days?

I wanted the same movie and also had account trouble, but mine wasn't resolved until a week ago. Ended up asking them to just transfer my points to a new account and delete the old one. Hoping Tremors will come back around.

For Sony, I have a code earned on 8/7/2023 and it's still usable, so not sure about how long, but not restricted by 90 days. Any code previously earned will redeem with the current quarters' movies (ie: my code earned in August/3rd quarter of 2023 redeem for current titles).

Universal codes Universal codes do become unuseable after 90 days. Any movie code in a month can only be used on those months' movies and will expire (ie: 1,000 points redeemed for a December title will still only work for those December movies).

I have had a code expire after three months, so YMMV. Here are the terms from Movie Buff Rewards e-mail:

*The Movie Buff Pass free movie will be awarded in the form of a Movies Anywhere free digital movie code (the "Code") . Once you have registered 5 eligible discs all under the same Sony Rewards account within a 1 year time frame you will receive an email from Sony Rewards that contains a free digital movie code. You will need to click through that email and select your title on the Sony Pictures redemption page, and then the free digital movie code will automatically populate on the Movies Anywhere page. Members may only register a title once. The Code is valid for single-time use only on the Sony Pictures redemption site which will be provided in the email containing the Code link from Sony Rewards. The Code entitles the recipient to select one (1) free digital movie on Movies Anywhere from a list of movies on the redemption site. The Code must be redeemed within ninety (90) days of receipt of the applicable email from Sony Rewards containing the Code link

That's probably 99.9% of the population. It's one of the most well known pieces or music ever written vs a direct to video sequel that most people have never heard of.

That's like saying I'm more familiar with Pachabel's Cannon in D than Land Before Time 14. The only difference is LBT14 wasn't named after the piece of music.
