I've had less than satisfactory experiences at Applebee's, making it a restaurant I would generally avoid. I've dined there on several occasions in different locations for work dinners, and here are some specific issues I encountered:

1. The tortilla chips seemed to be cooked in very old oils, resulting in a distinctly rancid flavor.
2. The unlimited shrimp dishes were excessively salty, making it challenging to fully enjoy the meal.
3. The chicken breast, on multiple occasions, appeared to be either overcooked or potentially sourced from overnight leftovers.

I did express my concerns, and while the replacement chips were marginally improved, they still carried a strong rubbery aroma and a pronounced bitterness. To alleviate the excessive saltiness from the unlimited shrimp promotion, I requested a bowl of water to cleanse the flavors. However, my decision to part ways with Applebee's was solidified when I encountered a third unpalatably tough chicken breast later on.

Same experience minus the shrimp. I didn't had the shrimp but the chicken was not tasteful at all. I wouldn't go back.

Hm... my chicken was raw... ymmv I suppose.

Went twice to two different locations because I didn't learn the first time but yeah, the restaurant is just not good.
