I was ok paying $15-20 a month but with all this splintering of content, BS changes (the HBO merger and downgrade to reality shows because of the new CEO), and ads on top of premium membership.?
Y'all did this to yourselves, streaming services

I was pretty surprised when i put in this code it actually took it, and now is telling me my account will renew August 2024 for $29.99! So this code is NOT just for new subscribers. Current subscribers can use it. See attached.
Plus as others have pointed out there are weird levels and you sign up wanting to watch one thing and it's locked behind a paywall. Peacock doesn't even have the 2004 BSG. It was removed in July 2023 and didn't even move anywhere else.
Just do a free trial and watch 'Mrs. Davis', the best show / miniseries of 2023 and ignore this useless POS of a streaming thing.
Otherwise, if you want to use this deal, i'd pair with a cashback site and an amex offer. My amex card had an offer to give an extra $6 off. Or, if you went with the plus subscription you could pair this $30 coupon with the $20 amex offer for a total of $50 off the plus package. But personally I went with the free offer I linked above.

my head because they discontinued mine last year after sending me an email letting me know. I must be in one their lower tiers.

Why not just spend the 3 'long long long' minutes of commercials doing some jogging in place, situps, crunches, pushups, yoga poses, or... wait for it, this is big. Go to the bathroom? Make a sandwich? Get a glass of water? it's even alright if it takes bit longer, cause most starts of movies is logo & shit for the studios.
Peacock has a single long advertisement at the beginning of movies, and the entire movie is then AD FREE. Definitely fantastic in comparison to having multiple ads break up a movie, which aren't designed with commerical breaks in mind. Max has commercials in the middle of movies, shitty.
Now for shows, Peacock definitely has 2-4 commercials throughout depending on length of show. Yes some of them are 2 minutes long, most are 30-60 seconds imo. However Hulu is terrible, the worst thing ever. If not for being only $0.99, and having good selection. I'd not even pay that.
