I prefer other materials too in general for clothes but in the case of staying warm and trapping heat, polyester is pretty effective. There's a reason "heatgear" type of clothes are 100% polyester. Even the US Army's thermal underwear is 100% polypropylene - it's a VERY warm and heat trapping material, not to mention hydrophobic which is preferable in snow/rain.

Also, a few of the reviews says it runs big and the model (who is 6 ft 2") is wearing a medium and it looks like it fits him perfectly.

Edit: You will get free shipping even though it's not $50 because they calculate Free Shipping on the pre-discounted price.

Double edit: I just got mine. I am usually a medium and ordered a medium. I'm glad I ordered my correct size because the length of the sleeves and jacket is correct. I think the reason people are saying to size down is because the overall fit of the jacket around the chest and shoulders is a little baggy but I don't regret getting a medium because the arm length and jacket length is perfect.

Your credit card benefits might cover purchases that can't be returned to the store.

I purchased this and recently returned it. Its a very nice jacket, especially at the current price, but it was a little boxy on me. I am 6', 185 lbs, and ordered a size medium. I'm sure I'm being dramatic but I felt like the Kanye and Lil Pump video, or that photo of Fat Joe and Big Pun at the VMAs.
What does this mean, is it too big? I bought medium and I'm 5'7", 150

Definitely medium is too big. Im 5"10, 160 and small fits me perfectly. The sizing on this jacket is on the bigger size.

Alpha Industries has the best bombers. Get one of those on sale at Amazon during the warmer months (Reg: $200 Sale $75-100) and call it a day.

$160 for such a ugly bomber cheap looking bomber? No wonder why it's on sale.

Latest studies are concerned about micro plastic diffusion from these fabrics when you run them through the dryer after washing. But we don't care about studies anymore.

Yeah its just a little wide and boxy. As another poster said, it might just be too big. If I were you I'd go with a small.

Sweatpants are for wearing in your house exclusively. If it's cold in your house, yes you can wear any jacket including this one in your house with your sweatpants.

"Heatgear" means it's hot outside and you want proper gear for heat (to keep you cool). I think you wanted to say "coldgear."
