Project farm on youtube tested these and they did well. So I got a set. Mine was Junk. The 1/4" drive ratchet fell apart. The flippy switch and all internals came out. My advice to anybody buying these. Use them right away. Try them out. Save your receipt. I returned mine and stick with all Gearwrench ratchets. Just can't afford down time from tools breaking.

yes.

I actually have the 1/2" version and the thing is a beast. I've come to the conclusion that I never want to be in a situation with a broken ratchet. They are more common to break than sockets (Assuming you have decent quality sockets).

Why would you want a Husky ratchet? Because as soon as it breaks, you can take in to your nearest HD for a replacement under lifetime warranty. My time is valuable and I only want to purchase this once.

1. email account
2. user defined password

The good news is that you log in once a day and can make multiple inventory checks without relogging in.

From what I gather, Husky and Gearwrench are both made by Apex, likely. It's unfortunate your experience, I haven't had that happen to me yet and I've been happy with mine. The big thing for me is though, the Husky ratches have same day lifetime warranty claim, that's enough for me to stick with them as all ratchets eventually give out.

Same day lifetime warranty is a good thing! My buddy uses snap on (3-4x the price). Same thing... They break. Snap on gets him a new one right away. He can't afford downtime as He bills $175 an hour for his labor, so downtime is big money lost. We all have our good and bad experiences. I still have some husky hand tools, but my trust is in Gearwrench. Plus I like the comfy rubber grips lol.

Found them at one local store for $37, decided to check the next one and they had them for $25.04. I had a $25 gift card, so they only ended up costing me $1.54, mainly for the tax. I only had one set of ratchets, so this was a nice addition for a good price!

Snagged one at $25.04 + tax.
Brickseek said there were 11 in the Home Depot near me, and exactly 11 there were.
edited to add:
For the store I went to, Brickseek listed the item at "$44.88 (61% off)", but the store ended up having a yellow-price-tag on the display for $25.04.

Item did in fact ring up for $25.04 + tax.
Location in the store I went to:
They are in a free-standing cardboard-display, and they were located along with a lot of other cardboard-displays in the "front" of the store (between the Customer Service desk and the checkout lanes).
My store had mainly hand tools, tool accessories, and power tools in that "front" part of the store, and that section of the store usually rotates product seasonally.
Here is a picture of the cardboard-display:

Did brick seek say if they were on clearance at $25?
