Destined to become a modern classic, the Montecristo Crafted by AJ Fernandez Toro cigar is more than worthy of the famous name it carries. And it's a Montecristo too! Seriously, though, Fernandez gives the distinguished and near-century old front mark the respect it deserves by providing a richly complex taste balanced for all types of aficionados. But AJ was not looking to mimic the past or tread the same path as his forebears, so this is a box-pressed Montecristo rolled in Nicaragua containing a wealth of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler and finished with a Mexican San Andres binder and Ecuadoran Sumatra Oscuro wrapper. Never saw that coming, did you?
The first thing you'll notice when pulling a Montecristo Crafted by AJ Fernandez from your humidor is the three white, red, and gold bands which cover most of each mahogany-colored 6" X 50 vitola. Once this decoration is out of the way and the foot properly smoldering, the perfectly aged longleaf tobaccos will begin producing clouds of smoke laden with the heavenly flavors of cedar, mocha, and spice. The mid-point of the cigar is marked by a bright citrus revelation, with some sweet licorice, dark earth, and a hint of red pepper keeping the medium-strength cigar on track to the very end.
You might think you'd end up paying out the nose for a cigar carrying two of the top names in the biz, but not so. We here at Cigar Place think every enthusiast should have a chance to smoke the best of the best, so we're offering these Montecristo Crafted by AJ Fernandez Toro sticks as cheaply as we possibly can. I was going to add some other cigars....but make sure to check cigarbid to cross reverence prices.. The other sticks I wanted were much cheaper there.
Also free shipping .
