I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine

Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

Has anyone on here actually gotten and tried theirs? All the glowing LG reviews say "incentivized" which concerns me. One of the non-incentivized reviews just posted a 1 star review. stating that this newer heat pump model takes several dry cycles totaling over 6 hours. He did call out it's this model.
I'm assuming they got a bum unit and the sensor isn't working properly. I have one ordered but pushed the delivery date back to mid-Feb as I'm a little concerned that all the reviews on LG's site show this incentivized status.
HomeDepot site has a few people saying it doesn't dry well (one with a pic of this model), but the majority state otherwise. Maybe they were mixing materials (jeans & socks)
I was just hoping to hear from someone on here.
*EDIT* I also just noticed all the glowing reviews on HomeDepot state to be from a seed program (meaning they get free stuff). Now I'm genuinely worried. This makes me feel like the reviews are on par with youtube "influencer" videos.

Ours will be delivered in the next couple days. I early adopt on items like this, our Geospring heat pump water heater has been going strong since 2012 and has paid itself off many times over in energy savings. Hoping this tech is not too good to be true. Keeping the old dryer for now but really hoping we are not having to finish drying with it all the time

My delivery is supposed to tomorrow but I've gotten no info since I ordered 1/13. On their site it still says awaiting shipping and "cancel pending". They better not cancel!

So… mine actually came and got installed. But… it came dented. Not too bad and I needed it so I took delivery. Will reach out to LG on options.

Keep the faith everyone. Mine has been showing awaiting shipping all week and my delivery date was no longer there. This morning it says delivery date on the 23rd and tracking is now available. So my guess is LG got a surge in orders and is trying to get them in hands of customers. For anyone that can't use a Yahoo account, the CB right now is about 12 percent maybe there's someone with higher. Combine that with Amex offer of 4% that puts you very close to what you would get off with the partner site, so not much of a loss.

I've dealt with 2 dented freezers so far and now this. I'm inclined to take the discount if they offer enough. Reading offers of $100 only though. Will try my luck.

Please keep us updated. I hope this is not a common occurrence. I understand the heat pump is a sensitive piece of equipment. Anyone else experience the same please chime in. I would see how long the unit takes to clean/dry - please report back! I am crossing my fingers my unit arrives at the end of the month.

Ordered this even though I have a perfectly good working LG set about 10 years old, never expected I would spend 1600 on washer/dryer but love the concept of this... hope it plays out and don't get stuck as a beta tester on Rev 1.0 with issues after 2 years when the warranty expires.

But let me ask the real question I need to know from SD'ers and derail this thread.....do I tip the delivery/installers when this arrives?

At this price range, why would you put your eggs into the same basket / reduce your capacity for laundry by half .
If you have space problems , barely run 1 load a day , it may not be an issue of course (till it breaks)

Everyone has different needs, preferences, and setups. For me, I'm actually getting more capacity. I ordered this unit + a washer pedestal. I'm keeping my gas drying, and only replacing the washer. This means I can effectively have 2 concurrent loads going at the same time. Alternatively, if I'm pressed for time with a big load, I can treat it like a normal washer/dryer configuration and only wash with this unit, and use the gas dryer to dry quickly.

Alright folks, we got our washer delivered and installed yesterday morning.
For folks wondering about their status updates, I had been informed that it would be delivered yesterday, but there was no status change on the website. I had to call LG the prior morning, and they made sure to deliver as scheduled.
We washed and dried 5 loads since yesterday under the Wash + Dry AI setting. All loads have taken between 2:45 and 3:00 hours to dry.
The two hour claim says it was run with a 10 lb load.
I didn't weigh our loads, but don't imagine that it was more than 10 lbs.
That being said, we are okay with it, and it fits our needs. With our old washer and dryer, we spent between 2:00 and 2:30 hours total to wash and dry. The convenience balances this out for us.
The clothes were well washed and dried, and the machine was easy to remove the lint, program, load soap, etc.
I'm sure it will require that we don't let the laundry pile up for weeks at a time, but that's a welcome adjustment for us.
We'll be keeping it, it works great. Just not as great as advertised.
