I bought this when it was recently posted. I'm ok with my purchase but people may have issues with it arriving with the enamel chipping off. I inspected mine as soon as I received it, check the pics in the Amazon reviews from others. The cups and plates look great, however all the bowls in my set have one little spot less than the size of a BB, approximately 1mm where there is metal and no enamel on the bottom near the edge. My plan is to touch those areas up before washing.

I expected worse but if you thought you're getting something perfect you may want to lower your expectations.
All of the surface areas you'd eat/drink from are well coated.

EDIT: I read even more reviews and there are people that seemed to have an ok set, washed them and then no longer. I haven't used mine, seriously considering a return. It's scary.

I have been using mine camping for 10 years. There is a chip here and there now. I camp a minimum of 20 nights a year, prob an average of 30+ nights per year. They have done a good job lasting.

That being said the set is ok. Not much out there to compete with it. Good for tent camping when you want a sturdy set.

Biggest gripe is since these are enamel coated metal, they conduct heat super quick and easy to burn yourself with hot food or coffee through the plate/bowl/cup. Also wish the dishes came with some sort of container/organizer to keep them in.

The roll up utensil set is great though, almost worth this price just for that. The knives look like butter knives but are sharp enough to cut through steak easily. Not sure if sold separately or cheaper...

It's Coleman. They are a solid but budget camping brand. Everything they make is made in China.

I bought this set last time it was featured here. Base metal was exposed on most of the food contact surfaces.

Get a mini-van or better yet, a Dodge, Ford or Chevy van conversion. Normal sized bed, mini kitchen and some have a toilet, too. They fit in normal parking spaces and better than a 24+ ft. RV.

I went camping this last weekend, we went into Walmart (Highpoint NC) and they had a ton of camping stuff on clearance. I picked up an Ozark Trail enameled set and it looks nice so far. $27 on clearance. My confidence isn't high in the silverware lasting super long but the cup and plate I used look perfect. Much lighter and has a stainless steel edge.

For those who have Walmart + and don't have Amazon prime, the same set [walmart.com] is available on Walmart for $19.97.

Yes, you can buy the utensils set separately. We have one and love it.

Reviews indicated that the quality of these has gone down a lot from those who bought it many years ago. I read most of the reviews last time this was on the front page. have the reviews changed much since then? is lead ever an issue on enamel coated wear?

Were the reviews full of people that had it tested for lead and lead was found?
