Wow. I have four of these in my basement right now and they are very sturdy. I had no problem assembling them myself, although it would be a little easier with two people. I highly recommend these shelves. Doesn't look like they are delivering to my area for some reason, but delivery would make it even better because these are pretty heavy. Otherwise I would definitely buy a couple more at this price.

When these were on sale for $60, I hunted all over the different Costcos around me for these. FYI, 4 of them fit in my sedan with the back seat laid down.

Setting up seemed like a pain, but just get a rubber mallet. These have been in my garage for the last 3 years. They're sturdy. I definitely recommend!

Don't recommend this. The main vertical supports are not one piece which allows you to use it at work bench height. It would be fine for this use.

However, if you want to use it as shelving that joint makes the whole thing a wobbly mess and is a real pain to build. There's no screws or anything other than the slots and pegs to install. Each time you get a side in the other side pops back out.
Have and been fine might get two more at this price

Rubbermaid containers, wide enough for most things

Whats the rated weight per shelf, and total weight limit capacity?
Something ridiculous like 600 or 800 lbs per shelf

I also don't recommend this for another reason, I have this in my garage and within a year shelves start to bend more like warp in middle
How hot does your garage get in the summer?

The shelves are listed as melamine composite, which has a tendency to warp.

Luckily, replacing this with MDF isn't difficult, especially since this will take precut shelves.

I have 2 of these, not difficult to put together alot quicker with two people, not sure what others are saying but super heavy duty. In case you are wonder you can fit 2 of the yellow top 27 gallon containers per shelf.

Agreed definitely picking up more tonight. Heat thing wasn't aware of and won't apply to me it's in the sub basement aka laundry room where it's cool. All storage there

For those who only have access to a Sam's Club in your area, they have a Member's Mark version of this for the same price. It's nearly identical. The biggest difference I see is the bottom shelf is a bit higher off the ground on the Sam's version.

Not nearly identical in my experience. The Member's Mark version was noticeably lower quality all around when I picked one up and put it together right next to the Costco version. Would have loved for that to have been the case though.

More expensive than the Edsal shelving rack deal from Walmart but definitely of higher quality. I have these along with the Edsal ones in my basement and I would still choose these over the Edsal, even with the price difference. As many stated earlier, a rubber mallet will make your life much easier when putting these together.

I just bought two of these a couple weeks ago at 90 each.
Wondering if they'll price match? Will go today to see if they are selling at 75 at my local store.

In terms of assembly, it was surprisingly a lot more hassle to assemble than expected.
The unit is set up so you are slotting these low-clearance knobs into slots on the 4 posts. These appear to have been sized prior to coating all parts with a metallic coat. Particularly on the 48" long rails the necks of the knobs were thickened so much with the metallic coating that you had to pound away at these very hard to get them seated securely and evenly down into the slots. It was to the point that I noticed several of the slots warping out to accommodate the thickened neck of the buttons. This is not something you can snap down leveraging your body weight with just your hands.

These being thin rails, there isn't a good surface to apply the force without damaging the coating or warping the rail. With the amount of force I needed, even using a rubber mallet directly on the rail seemed a bit worrying. What I did was use a small segment of 2x4 hardwood to seat on the corner like a shelf and pound away on with a hammer.

Proper seating of the rails is necessary for sturdiness, reducing wobble, and leveling.
