Just checked their fares for eco and premium eco flying out from SFO, the eco tickets are quite competitive whereas the premium eco is still too expensive compare to other airlines

Is it cheap to go from Singapore to Vietnam? I wanted to go from SFO to Singapore then to Vietnam.

Yes. You can get flights for about $100 USD from Singapore to ho chi Minh one way. You can even buy the tickets the the same day and not get gouged on the price.

That $499 to Frankfurt airfare is tempting as a jumping off point to a European vacation. However, Frankfurt seems to be in the middle of nowhere. I know the trains are great, but prefer shorter distances.
Fra is top, only downside is the high taxes from germany. u can go everywhere easily, within 2h u have south spain, portugal, greece, marokko, sicily, u have the best connect to middle east/asia. without the hassle of bad airlines. Trains suck and cost same. Where u wanna go? switzerland, austria, france or belgium?

Thanks. You're right. I could fly anywhere around Europe from Frankfurt. I connected to Amsterdam 7 years ago. I was focusing on train travel since I've wanted to get to Berlin, northern Italy and jump off a mountain in Switzerland with one of those parachutes (and someone who knows what they're doing).

FRA is equivalent in my mind to IAH in Houston or DAL in Dallas. A transportation hub that can get you anywhere regionally but little to do in the actual city

Malaysian airlines used to fly from LAX and had codeshare with Air India for flights to India. Since MAS no longer flies out of LAX, SIA is the next best option, as they can continue on to India from Singapore.

Tamil is one of 4 official languages of Singapore. Tamil is also one of the main languages of India. There are many "indians" in Singapore.

I'd like to go to Spain. I have big plans to travel after I graduate college. My gift to me is traveling in Europe for a Sabbatical.
Haven't planned much but this seems like such a good deal. Should I do it?
I was planning on just buying 1 ticket and no return ticket. But with this deal I might return to see friends and family and then go back to Europe. Would 2 months be enough over there? Any advice and suggestions are welcome.

It will be like going to Russia. Tons and tons of Russians have taken permanent refuge there.

I flew PDX to SGN via SFO 2 times over the past 6 months and the cheapest I got was $1150. Right now SFO-SGN for Oct '24 is $989. I don't think we'll see sub 900 prices for a long time if ever.

Phuket has been overrun by Russians since the pandemic. If you thought there were a lot there pre, it has at least tripled post.
