Just checked their fares for eco and premium eco flying out from SFO, the eco tickets are quite competitive whereas the premium eco is still too expensive compare to other airlines

Is it cheap to go from Singapore to Vietnam? I wanted to go from SFO to Singapore then to Vietnam.

Yes. You can get flights for about $100 USD from Singapore to ho chi Minh one way. You can even buy the tickets the the same day and not get gouged on the price.

Just take vietnam airlines, it's only a couple hundred bucks. If you want to save more money but don't care about how long delays could be, vietjet/jetstar are obnoxiously cheap.

That $499 to Frankfurt airfare is tempting as a jumping off point to a European vacation. However, Frankfurt seems to be in the middle of nowhere. I know the trains are great, but prefer shorter distances.
If your sole concern is whether FRA is a good 'jumping off point' in Europe, don't worry, it is. The airport is massive.

FRA is equivalent in my mind to IAH in Houston or DAL in Dallas. A transportation hub that can get you anywhere regionally but little to do in the actual city
DAL is Love Field which is smaller and more 'downtown' than DFW. Is that what you meant?

I heard it's overrun by tourists in general. Made the top 10 most crowded destinations.

Flight times are awful for SFO-BKK. To get the cheapest fare, you have to do an overnight layover in SIN there and back. You'd get to Singapore at night and leave in the morning - no time to sightsee really. Not a good deal.
I agree. Hoping to go SFO-BKK biz class next month but this deal isn't working for me.

Using the links it looks like there are very select dates for LAX- NRT in Feb and May that you can get for $666 RT

I'm looking at the calendar and in September and Thanksgiving, they're as low as $636 RT for multiple dates and they only charge an extra $50 for weekend dates
Japan is extremely popular at these times so seats are limited

He thinks there is nothing to do in Frankfurt like in Houston or Dallas. Which compared to other big cities it might be true, but Frankfurt is no slouch , you just need to know how travel in Germany and how to travel in Europe...

And in terms of accessibility FRA is nothing like DFW or IAH - a train ride is 10 mins away from the city center.

It can be. Pre-pandemic, I flew SFO to Singapore and then on to Hanoi for a very competitive fare. The problem is the extra distance and time that takes compared to making a connection before you've passed Vietnam.
Flights from SFO to singapore are a killer that 17 hour leg exhausts you too much

I have flow Singapore airline many times, in First, Business and Economy, I notice recently about 80% of my flights are Indians, is there that many Indian in Singapore? lol... nothing wrong with that, just curious is Singapore Air not top choice for other Ethincity lol.. or is it too expensive to fly them
Singapore Airlines has long held a large share of the US to India market and owns interests in Indian carriers.

And don't forget that Indians (or people from the subcontinent generally) make up about a quarter of the world's population and the diaspora is very large.
