I have this same monitor in 32", and I find it to be excellent in all respects. I might have bought this one, but I prefer non-curved, so opted for the 32". I do recommend.
What makes this better than a $300 34" 160hz curved display?
Most cheaper gaming widescreen monitors use VA panels. VA panels:
-Worse viewing angle
-VA panels are slow so monitor manufacturer use trucks to speed them up. This can lead to ghosting, flickering, etc while gaming.
-Less accurate colors if accuracy is important.

Curved IPS is usually much more expensive than curved VA. You can find a flat IPS 3440x1440 for around 300 on sale fairly often, but as soon as it becomes curved, that price shoots up to around 650-750. Overall, this is a solid price if you want a model with these specs.
I've owned the LG 34GP83-A since Dec 2020 which was basically a rebranding of this same monitor. Excellent colors and brightness. Great for both regular home use and gaming.
Was seriously considering this to upgrade my Acer Predator x34, but two things were a ender for me personally. Lack of a G-sync chip and only two USB ports. I use all four on my current monitor, and monitors releasing now are stepping their game way up in terms of USB I/O. This probably doesn't matter for most people, but it's interesting to see where current gen monitors are still a downgrade to monitors that came out almost a decade ago.
I'd get the Odyssey, even though the Samsung is a VA panel the Odyssey is the only one I'd recommend. You won't be able to match the black lvls even if one dims the backlit on the lg all the way. Games like Resident Evil will look much better.

This monitor is G-Sync Compatible which means it has been thoroughly tested and approved by Nvidia. I own this monitor (the 34GP83-A actually) and have played many games with G-Sync on and it works beautifully.

Cell is correct. I was also initially concerned about that myself, but it truly does work just fine. I have a AW3423DWF.

They're most likely VA panels. Imo it depends whether u care if it's VA or not
Got it thanks
