They're most likely VA panels. Imo it depends whether u care if it's VA or not

Was seriously considering this to upgrade my Acer Predator x34, but two things were a ender for me personally. Lack of a G-sync chip and only two USB ports. I use all four on my current monitor, and monitors releasing now are stepping their game way up in terms of USB I/O. This probably doesn't matter for most people, but it's interesting to see where current gen monitors are still a downgrade to monitors that came out almost a decade ago.
You are very out of date. Gsync ultimate is the Gsync with the chip and it is getting less common. Nowadays, if you are looking for a DEAL, all of them will be gsync compatible, which is just freesync but the monitor will show gsync compatible in windows settings. gsync compatible is nothing new. it has been on the market for many years. Go update yourself before you make those comments

This feels a little needlessly insulting. I'm aware of everything you're saying. The only additional detail is gsync compatible doesn't work under 30fps. It's something I consider a value.

Stupid question, What do people use the USB for on a monitor?
I have a webcam, the charging cord for my wireless keyboard, a yubi key (2FA security stick) and a USB C to charge peripherals on my four ports.

Thanks. I was going to get a Dell 2724D for $300, but I like the ultra wide format for a "2 monitor wide" feel.

Cell is correct. I was also initially concerned about that myself, but it truly does work just fine. I have a AW3423DWF.
So G Sync basically works just as well on the AW3423DWF? I've been wanting to bite on that monitor, I just wish they'd make a 38" version so I'd be upgrading size as well as contrast.

If anyone has successfully used this with a PS5 at the full resolution, could you PLEASE let me know how? I keep getting a "not supported" when I try to use 3440x1440.

Just ordered. Seems like a really good deal. Everyone seems to be focused on oled now a days, but this seems like a good value/performance proposition for a gaming monitor.

I've done this. You have to set the resolution of your PS5 to 1440p. Then you have to adjust the aspect ratio of your monitor so the picture isn't stretched. But you have to choose between stretched or pillarboxed (black bars on the side), since 3440x1440 is a 21:9 aspect ratio and PS5 games are 16:9. As far as I know, no PS5 game lets you change the aspect ratio to 21:9.

One thing to be aware of with these monitors is color temperature change between sides.
Look at a solid white or light colored image on the full screen. On mine the left side is warmer than the right side. I've tried a few of these monitors and they all seemed to have it to some extent, though some were a bit worse than others. It's not super noticeable, and you can kind of end up forgetting about it, but if you're particular it's something to be aware of.

I have the 34GP83A-B version, which is identical to this one. One is just branded Ultra-gear. Don't sleep on this deal if you're looking for a good monitor! The only regret I have is I wish I had gotten the 38" instead. 34" is great, but I was used to two 23" monitors, so I felt as if I lost some aspect ratio. I ended up getting a 27" to fill that void on the right. I do a lot of Graphic Design and I'm pleased with the look it has. I also play a lot of Fortnite and the field of view is AMAZING. I often forget my teammates can't see what I can due to their field of vision.

Definitely worth it.

Most cheaper gaming widescreen monitors use VA panels. VA panels:

-Worse viewing angle
-VA panels are slow so monitor manufacturer use trucks to speed them up. This can lead to ghosting, flickering, etc while gaming.
-Less accurate colors if accuracy is important.
Trucks?

Yeah they drive the pixels into your eyeballs

If you can wait, maybe OLED prices will come down with all the new models coming

I'm sticking to IPS for a while yet. I still don't trust OLED from a burn in perspective for gaming with static HUDs. No arguing it's a superior picture though. $500 is also already a lot for a monitor where I come from. Smilie
