A year ago the Top-Off with 5ah battery was $89 at Maxtool, FP listing

Be sure to use yours daily because the Top Off went dead in two weeks. battery still works fine

Got this kit from MaxTool for $140 after shipping/tax recently, I've put it through its paces and am very satisfied with it. I've put over 50 hours on it with a M1 Max MBP hooked up to it, along with a USB-C power meter.

I've been impressed with how much actual power you'll get out of one of these things via USB-C with a given M18 battery. Even my 5+ year old 162Wh 9AH HD battery from my first M18 kit (a string trimmer+blower) will still deliver 140Wh. The 6 & 3 AH HO batteries I've gotten more recently also deliver a good ~85-90% of their rated capacity through the converter in this unit.

A second wouldn't be a terrible idea for the right person... but I've got plenty of other battery/inverter setups.

This product has a very annoying feature where if you plug in something that is pulling low power, it'll automatically shut off after one hour if it's pulling 9w or less. You gotta keep turning it on every hour.

That's only for the 120V inverter, fwiw.. and it's to prevent these things from nuking batteries if left on - the AC inverter just being on draws a good deal of power. People would complain if it DIDN'T do this.

Only AC output: automatic shutoff if <9W for 1 hour
Only USB output: automatic shutoff if <3W for 6 hours
Both: automatic shutoff if combined AC+USB load is <12W for 1 hour, ac will shut off and USB will remain active for another 5 hours if load is <3W
