Weaker CPU with 8gb or more powerful CPU and 4gb (lenovo 3) depends on what you plan to do. If you are doing alot of video meetings, the higher cpu will probably provide a smoother experience. If you are browsing w many tabs or plan to use linux apps like light coding, the 8gb will go further.

The point was this is a fast processor. It has 4 cores.
I'll tell him that. As you say might be all he needs.
The camera is 768p so that is the max unless you installed another camera.
Thx for the help. He doesn't need camera so that's no biggie. This is just for living room for streaming utube, some races, & sites like motor trend. And sometimes checking weather or TV guide, mail, stuff like that. He's got decent desktop in his office where he uses a computer the most.

Another question, if this can only do 1366x768 what would it be able to output to 1080i or 1080p?
He just needs it occasionally to watch some races & Dale Earnhart show on utube
768P is the internal resolution, it can do much higher than that over HDMI to a display with a higher native resolution
The 500e G4 fixed that finally and I bought one of those refurbished for the same price just yesterday. Downside is it only has 4GB of RAM but I'd much rather have the definitely higher 1200P resolution.
Plus that one is an N100 CPU which is dramatically faster than these.sibe it uses four 12th gen E cores.
