No, this is for mouse. The entrance hole are too small for rats. Works for controlling few annoying mouse around the house. If you have an infestation, you will probably need to seal your house and then place these all over.

These are great, so much more convenient than other types of traps. They also make a WiFi version, which seems ridiculous, but if your trap is somewhere hard to get to it's nice to not have to randomly check it, and instead know exactly when it's caught something.
