For ref, the 2tb one was 89.99 thru newegg on tiktok store a few of weeks ago. I think 1tb should be around 59.99 these days but might be just my wishful thinking

Going through Newegg on TikTok isn't exactly a straight forward purchase.. first time customer requirement plus you need to have TikTok. I created an account for one of those deals and couldn't even get it to work.. total waste of my time. I realize some people have more luck but it's not exactly a reference price.

That said, the 2TB model was in the $90-100 area back in October, I think, so hard for me to justify $80 for half the capacity. I think more recent deals have pegged the 2TB model around $115(?).

So yeah, agree. I can't swallow $80 for 1TB much less consider it a good deal. But likewise, might be wishful thinking with shifting prices.

Yeah Tiktok store is such a pain in the arse. It's literally just a front for AliExpress and Temu sellers using Amazon Warehouse and fulfillment. That being said, i was able to get it without being new customer (was my second order), but on other order attempts, i had failed coupons all the time.

It wasn't that long ago that this price was normal for the 2tb--- around September or October, actually.
