The powerblocks are much better, imo. They sit better on your legs between sets being square shaped, and also they change in length.

You can also buy expansion weights that make them go up to 90 lbs.

I've had mine since right before 2020, use em 2-3x a week and they still look good as new.

The stand is overpriced though, so there's that laugh out loud

I've had the Bowflex 552 for about 15 years and still going strong. Some things are worth the money. I ended up finally building a stand out of 2x4s some pretty good plans on Reddit.

dang $281 location surcharge on shipping (to Hawaii), and not available locally for pickup. Guess I'll have to keep looking.

Agree - I bought these weights without the stand and that's all I need now. Aside from that the weights have been good 👍🏼
If you buy this deal, Walmart breaks it into 3 separate purchases making each item returnable…

Each dumbbell is $75.26 and the stand is $68.48… not sure if that's helps you or anyone else who may want to keep part of this deal and return the rest.

anyone else done a side by side comparison of these vs powerblocks? torn between these or waiting for the powerblocks deal again.

Looks like these swap weight easier, come with a stand, and are cheaper. Am i missing anything? The expandable part of PB is probably not important to me.

I wish I could just get a good deal on a stand. I bought the new REP adjustable dumbbells and I love them but a stand would be a great addition
Recently got the REP QUICKDRAW too. Definitely one of the better adjustable dumbbells and comes with lifetime warranty. In hindsight I should have gotten the cheap power block stand that was going for $59 on woot a couple of weeks ago.

Aw man, I just picked up the dumbbells separately last weekend and thought I was getting a good deal at $98/ea. With the stand, this is a buy it now price.

They are pretty solid and easy to switch weight increments. I agree with the other comment that re-"racking" them can be cumbersome getting the plates to slide in between the ones docked. I don't switch the weights around a ton so it doesn't bother me that much for the price.

I'm in the same boat and have been waffling between the two. The powerblocks are better reviewed but they just look so bulky and unweidly.

I bought these and had them for about a month. With light use both dumbbells failed - I was not hard on them. Upon closer examination, the construction is not very robust. One failed due to a broken plastic tab and another due to cheap aluminum rivets pulling out of a metal clip. To me, these are dangerous and should be avoided.

I've only had the power blocks for a short time, but I have no concerns about the robustness or safety

Don't have these but I do have the BowFlex 552s that are going on 11 years now. Quality is great.

So the weights alone are an every day price of $200 for the pair, but add in the stand and it magically becomes a $500 set? BS. Yes, the stand package is nice for $20 more but don't think for a second you are saving $300.
