Seems like this has only 1gb port even though it says supports moca speeds of 2.5gb speeds. Bit deceiving? Looks like 7250 model gets you the 2.5gb Ethernet port.

Works way better than powerline for me, in fact I ran an extra coax line to my garage since it was easy. I have 4 adapters and get gigabit speeds to all nodes. It does seem to add a bit of latency (3ms or so).

i dont think so. I forget what the 2.5 means but im confident that it doesnt have multi gig port.

CORRECTION - I think it is a multi gig ethernet port. I don't have any devices that support multi gig so its hard for me to confirm. I searched a little on the internet and I think it might support it.

I'm really new to this MoCA and i have no idea on how to connect this. I have a separate modem and a mesh Orbi mini pro SXK30. Is this only for modem/router combined system?

no - this works with any ethernet capable device. I am using mine for wired backhaul between two mesh nodes.

This would be pointless for you, assuming your orbi is already connected via ethernet to the modem. Unless you have a device that is far away from the orbi that would like to have an ethernet connectivity.

I am using the fca252. You need TWO of them if just starting out with moca.
Does that model support 2.5GB speed via Ethernet?

Would this work with T-Mobile Home Internet? If I have multiple coax ports in my home is it pretty likely they're all connected? Is there any encryption on this model? I like in a condo so would this end up allowing anyone else in an attached building to be able to hook in to my Internet?

If it has a 2.5gb Ethernet port, I'll keep it. If not, I'll set it up at my ex'es house. She has a 3rd google WiFi node that's connected wirelessly thus far. I'll wire it if so. Either way, $25 is dirt cheap if it works

Good find. I did some research on this and confirmed that this support 2.5GB speeds. Only downside is, there won't be any support (Firmware update etc.) to these devices but I decided to still go ahead with these. My ScreenBeam Amazon order is coming but I am going to return that. Frontier one is almost $40 cheaper for me even though I bought the Amazon Warehouse deal of ScreenBeam.

Thanks for the reply. But yes, the Orbi router is already connected to the modem via Ethernet. I also have another Orbi satellite in the other room and it is not connected to the Ethernet. So this can work with the satellite by attaching the MoCA coax to the wall and the Ethernet to one of the Ethernet connection of the satellite?
