This is my WiFi speed on my iPhone in the farthest corner of my house connected to an AP with wired backhaul via a Moca 2.5 device. Wireless backhaul, my speed would be around 120mb/s to 250mb/s depending on the time of day.

No need to wire my house with Cat 6 cables. Just using existing Coax in my rooms. All my streaming devices ex Apple TV 4K and Amazon Cube, PS5, Xbox are hard wired

Yes… you would be able to hardwire (wired backhaul) your Orbital Satellite.

Depending on your internet provider, your modem might have Moca 2.5 built into. Then you would only need one of these Moca devices to attach to your Orbi. Then You can use the other Moca in another room and hardwire a computer or streaming device

I use tivo's which support moca natively through a long run I get approximately 600 mbps to 700 mbps which of course is plenty fast enough for most residential purposes such as video transmission etc. with power over ethernet I only get about 250bps

Already had ScreenBeam ECB6250 units. Will a Frontier unit compatible with (ie paired with) ScreenBeam one? If so, I'd like to purchase some Frontier ones to add to the ScreenBeam network.

Also ScreenBeam 6250 (and 7250) supports MPS Security. Does Frontier 252 supports MPS security as well?

if you are using DOCSIS 3.1 modem (cable internet), you may need to isolate your house Coax to avoid interference.

2.5GB is not completely useless even with the 1GB ports on the adapters. It helps make sure you can get the full 1GB speed on the ports even if there is noise on the lines or they aren't getting 100% of the speed. It can also help if you have more than 2 adapters as the 2.5 is shared between all devices so with multiple devices you could still get well past 1GB aggregate bandwidth between all the different devices. One of these days I will probably pick up a pair of these to use as wired backhaul for my mesh network since I should have cabling in place that is in a useful enough location.

Thanks for the reply. Also for the lesson and the advice. I think i only need one of this MoCA devices. I only connect my PS5 and 1 streaming device in the other room of my house where the Orbi satellite is. Other than that, all my other streaming devices in the other part of the house can't be hardwired.

As far as I know, you can mix and match Moca devices. Even 2.5 and 2.0.

As fast as as security, if these really are rebranded GoCoax (which all indications they are), they will have MPS. But I'm not sure about that though. I have GoCoax Moca Devices and they have the security feature.

You will only need one of these IF your modem has a built in Moca feature. Xfinity Modems from model XB6 and up are Moca capable I believe.

To help provide a use case for this, my fios ONT is in my garage. I connect the ONT to my Orbi AX600 then have an ethernet out to a motoroal moca adapter thats then conenected to the Coax. Then in my living room there is another moca adapter connected to the coax. I have ethernet out of that to one of the AX600 Sattelietes and an unmaanaged ethernet switch. In my office on the second floor there is another moca adapter connected to coax, which is then connected to another ethernet switch and the 3rd Orbi Sattelite. WIth this there is mesh and hard line connection everywhere I need it and the speeds are great.

My setup is similar with an ASUS ZenWifi ET12. The slowest WiFi 6 capable wireless device in the outermost room has a speed of about 400mb/s, WiFi 5 device at the same spot, around 250mb/s. All my streaming devices and a couple desktop computers are wired to switches and the Router/AP. I have Apple TV 4K,s, Amazon Cubes, Sonos Connect (to connect my Home theater to the Sonos ecosystem), BlueOs for music, PS5, Xbox, Switch, etc.

Moca has been a godsend

I got the 2.0 version for $80 from B&H a couple months ago. It does gigabit, just like this one.
