Anker quality keeps coming down… I had. 20K mAh power bank and literally it was swollen to a point that external case cracked… I never had any other brand do that. Some died.. but not swollen…

Permanently attached cable used as a strap/hanger is a horrible idea!🤦 Tiny, thin wires inside of that cable will break from constant stress and metal fatigue and you'll have an expensive paperweight.

Don't waste your money on this gimmick.
I have this unit and I too am worried about that, but that's why I don't use it as a strap or hanger. I just use it the way I'd use any other power bank.
So far I'm really pleased with it, though I've only had it a couple of months. The speed is great and the little screen telling you how much juice it has exactly is pretty cool.

Looking at the images, I see it has another port (in/out) to charge.

A lot of their stand-alone cables have lifetime warranties. This power bank has 2 years, which is as long as the cables that don't have lifetime warranties, and longer than most other power banks of this capacity. I suspect the battery cells will fail before the cable does.

What are you talking about?! How are you using your batteries that they last you only 2 years?!
I have batteries that I use which are 5-6 years old! One on my bike, one in my edc backpack, one at home just in case.
You gotta learn how to use them if your die so quickly.

Older lithium cells could only do like 300 or so cycles until they start losing a noticeable amount of capacity. That's only 300 days where you fully drain and charge the battery.
I found a perfectly sized 10Ah battery pack a few years ago that I used for my phone and laptop. And higher voltage outputs are significantly less efficient for total power output than 5 volts, so fast charging further pounded that little battery pack. Poor thing can't even fully charge my iPhone Xs with fast charging anymore, which is more important now that it's also getting fewer hours on its own battery. I don't even bother using it for my laptop anymore.

I really like the idea of an attached cable, but I agree that using it mechanically as a strap is not a great idea.
I've really been pleased with my Baseus pack that has the USB-C dongle, but also has MagSafe. That was you can efficiently fast charge with USB-C and still stick the pack to the back of the phone. I wish Anker had done this, I don't even care if wireless charging is included, just use the magnets to attach the phone.
I bought it with the deal he mentioned, but I no longer see it. So it may have been a coupon doubling error on Amazon's end
I bought this one instead of the one posted by the OP - it's twice the mAh (20k vs 10k) and the virtually the same price ($34.99 vs $35.99) after the 20% coupon on amazon.

There is a different one with 20% but it is from a higher price.
