They're still Micro USB because they're 4+ year old headphones.
Look at the "previous FP deal" link and you'll see that deal was from over 4 years ago.
Have a pair of these as a backup to my AirPods Max for when I do more active things. They are well worth the $ even at regular price. Substantially better than the Beats Studio 3 I was using previously. Noise cancellation is decent enough to block out loud noise and the sound quality had me second guessing how much I paid for my AirPod pro max. I'm not an audiophile but I honestly noticed maybe a 30% improvement when I used my Max watching movies while on the treadmill. Highly recommend these ðŸ‘ðŸ»

I got a pair of the Q20i's for my kids for Christmas. They had been using the older Q10 model since COVID remote learning. The Q10 have been great, but my kids have worn them out. Both The Q10 and Q20i have an aux in, which is really helpful.

Been using mine since then, and not being very careful with them either, so durability wise they held up great. Still function like new, foam ear pads show no signs of use look and feel like new. Battery lasts a long time even of weeks in between use.
As for the micro USB, yes we all want to transition to USB C, but unless your house is almost all USB C this is not a deal breaker as you have plenty of micro usb cord laying around. Also get those 3 connectors in one cord that have micro usb, lightning and usb c that are 6inches or 3 feet long and you won't have to hunt for cords around the house.
I have these and the Q30s and they're both great. The Q30 are better quality and sound but these 20s are impressive. I bought these for in the garage and use them exclusively there. The noise canceling is good enough to use them with my table saw and other loud tools. The noise canceling is good at constant noise but can't do sudden noises like talking. I use the Q30s at the office from time to time and voices still come through while the over head white noise disappears. Yes, my office has white noise but it does help reduce over all noise in the office.

Can you explain for headphones what is the value addition with usb c?
It helps with reducing complexity in your home. It makes it easier to borrow someone else's charger/cable when out and about. And it gives you one less thing to think about when packing for a trip.
It can take 3, 5, or more years for a device to die or become obsolete. If you buy a device that charges over micro USB today, then you may be stuck having a micro USB charging spot available at your home for several more years. If you stopped buying micro USB devices 2 years ago, then you are 2 years closer to being done with having to keep them around. For many people, the goal is to stop buying micro USB devices so that they will be done with them sooner.
It makes no difference in how the headphones perform. The only engineering con I can think of is that micro USB does tend to be much more fragile than USB C. Meaning, you are much more likely to eventually throw away these headphones because the charging port wears out.
I miss 2020. These used to be $20 from Newegg. Best price.
They lasted me until last month. Had to throw them out when the plastic cracked and one of the earpieces came off the band. Worked perfectly fine but no way I could glue that entire earpiece assembly back to the headband.
