I got a pair of the Q20i's for my kids for Christmas. They had been using the older Q10 model since COVID remote learning. The Q10 have been great, but my kids have worn them out. Both The Q10 and Q20i have an aux in, which is really helpful.

As for the micro USB, yes we all want to transition to USB C, but unless your house is almost all USB C this is not a deal breaker as you have plenty of micro usb cord laying around. Also get those 3 connectors in one cord that have micro usb, lightning and usb c that are 6inches or 3 feet long and you won't have to hunt for cords around the house.

Yes this is worth it
Can you explain for headphones what is the value addition with usb c?
It can take 3, 5, or more years for a device to die or become obsolete. If you buy a device that charges over micro USB today, then you may be stuck having a micro USB charging spot available at your home for several more years. If you stopped buying micro USB devices 2 years ago, then you are 2 years closer to being done with having to keep them around. For many people, the goal is to stop buying micro USB devices so that they will be done with them sooner.
It makes no difference in how the headphones perform. The only engineering con I can think of is that micro USB does tend to be much more fragile than USB C. Meaning, you are much more likely to eventually throw away these headphones because the charging port wears out.
They lasted me until last month. Had to throw them out when the plastic cracked and one of the earpieces came off the band. Worked perfectly fine but no way I could glue that entire earpiece assembly back to the headband.
