My current Chromebook I5 is emmc it also has a m.2 slot but I really do not know how it could be any faster. Apps load very fast. I do not use a lot of them.
Chromebooks are more for browsing and watching videos and such and it does all that well. The I5 is faster than my I3 that did have NVME. So whatever difference the M.2 might make it is less than the I3 vs I5 difference.
I have heard of this being done but can not find a video of how to transfer the eMMc to a M.2. From what I could find this most likely does have a M.2 slot.
lol doubtful hardware will even last that long past 2030
High spec Chromebooks do run higher than low spec windows. But windows needs more to work as well.
This is a high spec for a Chromebook but not for windows.
Even if windows Display Port 1.4 not easy to find at this price. Get a port and you can run three external displays.
I still use my Chromebook c720p for outdoor streaming… 10-13 years old, still four hours battery life… running full Linux
