Here are my reasons for purchasing it via Apple.

1.) 4k versions pretty much guaranteed vs who knows right now at VUDU.

2.) Free 4k upgrades from Apple if the movies get upgraded later.

3.) I trust Apple to not mess things up. Movies anywhere only works when given the right information. I have had some issues with VUDU not relaying the right information.

4.) Apple has the best quality so most of my digital is direct from them, even if it is MA.

You can apparently only earn two per month, so you'll get two.

People are not listing the best reason to buy from iTunes instead of Vudu. iTunes will list these movies separately in your library VS Vudu would bundle all of these together and you would have to click on that bundle each time to see the list of movies.

If you buy a movie on itunes, and then watch it through the Movies Anywhere App, is it still being delivered with the higher bit rate from itunes? Is there anyway in MA to see which service the movie is streaming from?
No, the MA CDN is different from Apple's CDN. However, MA quality is usually top-tier streaming.

Interesting. Also, I though Apple's quality was best.

It is. But it'll be pretty negligible depending on what you watch it on. Assuming you're using MA on a device, you likely have the ATV streaming app, so if you want the best quality you might as well use that.

Is this collection only available for a limited time or will it stay on iTunes for a long time.
The collection will probably be available for a long time, but the price won't. All these sale prices can end at any time. Usually last a couple of days, but sometimes less or longer.

Apple's quality is indeed the best. But watching directly from MA, it's the same or close.

Whichever bitrate it is in iTunes it'll show up in MA. It won't say which service it came from and you are streaming from MA and their standards (might be slightly different sound quality etc). So, it'll just say HD or 4k UHD.

Is anyone else getting an issue when trying to click the link on a phone? Maybe it works better on desktop
It should work on iPhone. Doesn't on Android or any other kind of phone. AFAIK it works through iTunes on Apple or Windows and also Apple TV app on Roku. Tried iTunes once on Chromebook and it was an unformatted mess.

Doesn't matter here since 99 of these are MA and hence will be listed on both iTunes and MA all separated even if you buy from Vudu. On Vudu you can put them separated in user lists though.

Looked through the list and found I only had Gandhi 4k from a previous package deal and Stripes (not extended cut) as a free movie from Sony rewards. Still not going for it. Great price. Just too many movies and I would probably never get through them all.

Hey guys, question:

Let's say I buy a MA eligible title through iTunes in HD format, but a year from now Apple upgrades it to 4k.

Will that 4k also port over to Movies Anywhere? If I decide to watch in my Vudu app, for example, and the 4k version is available on both iTunes and Vudu at this point… would Vudu default to 4k since iTunes upgraded me? Or would Vudu still show HD format since that's how I initially bought it / would I need to stream via Apple to get the 4k upgrade?

Another question: let's say I buy a movie through Vudu and it is Movies Anywhere compatible… and I decide to stream it using Apple TV via MA rather than through Vudu… will the quality be higher? I saw someone in this thread remark that Apple TV is usually higher quality (maybe due to bitrate?) than other apps.

I have thus far been buying most of my titles through Vudu, so I don't really want to switch to Apple at this point for non-MA titles since I don't want my library disconnected across multiple apps… but for future MA titles I'm wondering if I should redeem them through Apple to future proof myself.

You only get the 4K upgrade via Apple. Vudu has upgraded a few titles recently, but only if you purchased directly from Vudu, not via port-in from MA.

As above, any HD title you but via Apple that ultimately gets upgraded to 4K will only be watchable in 4K via Apple.

When I go to buy it on i-tunes, only see HD and Sd option. If I buy the HD one does it give u the 4k versions?
