Are you really expecting solid copper in a $27 list price set of jumper cables?

While copper clad aluminum (CCA) doesn't pass through as much current as solid copper, they are a heckuva lot cheaper. If you need the current carrying capacity of solid copper but don't want to pay the premium, then get a CCA set that's either shorter or a bigger gauge or both.

Long cables like this ARE worth owning. #4 wire is more than enough to get your car started or jump start someone else.
