The Deluxe Edition is just cosmetics, unless you're a completionist, save your money.
Just finished this game last week, it doesn't hold a candle to the Arkham Trilogy, but I also don't think it was THAT bad (trust me, I've played worse games) - I'd wait for this to be in a bundle or I'd say it's worth $5, depending on your disposable income and how large your current backlog is.
One word of advice, don't waste your time playing as Robin, IMO he sucks and his character is a whiny bitch in cutscenes.

This game is horrible. Even if it were free, it's not worth any amount of time, considering how many good games exist. The combat in this is so bad. It doesn't flow at all. This plays nothing like the Batman Arkham games.
Reminder that this is also on Gamepass for Xbox and PC.
I had fun with it, playing as the guy with a red mask and guns (sorry, I don't follow any super hero stuff). It was not good enough for me to finish, uninstalled it after around 10 hours. But again, if you're into the lore of this, then you might enjoy it even more so than I did.
Didn't like the game. So clunky. Like having to learn to jump (level up)? Oh look I am zip lining to a completely different area than I wanted to go...
Fighting is basically smash numbers and mouse. My best fight was basically automatic and I just smashed the mouse button. Try and do cool stuff...you end up disengaging and hitting a lamp post.

Do not expect anything too close to the Arkham trilogy from this game and you'll be fine. It feels like the bones/basic ideas of what Arkham City was built off of. It is a stripped down super barebones version of Arkham games.
If i had to describe it simply, it is the most average "timewaster" game of the past few years. A solid 6.5/10 that feels like what is expected from a free to play game with lots of therepeated missions, gameplay, enemies, etc. Not to mention, most of the appeal of playing comes from collecting and forging better gear with stronger stats and unique traits. You also have some character-specific level trees to get unique abilities, but they aren't as good as something like Borderlands has.
The characters are paper-thin cutouts of what their comic book counterparts are, with all the depth of a half-empty pond. Similarly, the story feels like it was written based off one general overarching idea, and everything else was thrown in to pad for length.
One good thing i will say is, if you like mindless gameplay and are a Batman-universe fan, this thing will keep you entertained for a bit. Tons of minor tasks you can quickly complete, glide around stopping crimes, finding collectables, clearing hideouts, etc. I find myself losing track of the time i've played often when i play this.
Deluxe Edition is worth it if you like the bonus costumes which all look amazing. But as has been said, yes, they did completely ruin Robin. His character is a whiny child. Nightwing is the "cool older brother" archetype for some reason. Red Hood is downgraded to being a moody edgy tough guy in a PG-rated movie kind of way. Barbara is just thinking about her dead dad constantly and not in a cool way. It's more like a "ah yes, i recall my father. he was a good man..." kind of way.

I had fun with it. It's definitely not as good as the Arkham games; but in my opinion, it's worth a playthrough.
I don't know why this game gets so much hate. I've got about 30 hours in, it's fun just to zip around the city and beat people up. I switch between all the characters, so there's good variety. Things change a bit as the story progresses. I've played all the other Batman games and I guess I'm supposed to hate this. But I don't. Well worth $8 Id say

Everything is so boring, gameplay, traversal, story.
