it's likely because the one featured it's on wheels. I've seen shelving units hold more without them

I had their end tables at one point in life. The board material is like 1/4 inch thick and is layered cardboard. The pipes are flimsy pvc. the 4-tier turn-n-tube doesn't support much more at 35 lb.

I bought a nightstand from them and wouldn't recommend it. Super lightweight (to a fault), feels like junk, had scuff marks all over even though the box was sealed, and doesn't sit down very well on carpet.
