yes, it's possible not all users get the same coupons. I can only go by what's in my account.
You can't spend $50 to start with, use the 40% off and expect to earn the $20 in rewards because you're only spending $30 a/40% off. You will not have met the threshold.

I wonder if the $20 bonus rewards works with using ink rewards to pay for purchase.

The only way for a no out of pocket deal is to redeem rewards on this.
Deal Scenario using rewards and coupons
Buy $50 of coffee, paper plates, etc.
Use the 40% off Q to take it down to $30.
Use the $10 off $30 receipt coupon from same day tech/battery recycle
Use a $20 ink rewards coupon, total $0 or very small oop.
There is no way for a -zero- oop on the $100 spend. But given the price of coffee, 70% off net is pretty amazing on Kcups or decent ground coffee.
