Oh, man, you think we see the XTX go down in price soon, too?

Two significantly better brands as well.

But I would feel like a doofus buying this card when the 6900 XT and even the 6800 XT perform better in far too many titles, or only fall short by less than 10%.

I agree that most wouldn't need to upgrade at this price.

But the RX 6950 XT is, on average, 10–15% slower in rasterization. And the RX 7900 XT matches the RTX 4070 Ti at ray tracing.

I can't find many good comparisons to the 6950XT because it was pretty much a tiny bump over the 6900XT and doesn't seem to be used by a lot of reviewers for the current gen - but 10% faster, on average, than the previous gen top card is not really impressive gen over gen.

I am not an Nvidia fanboy by any means, but I don't know where you're getting your figures from. Here's the TPU review of the RTX 4070 Ti which shows it outperforming the 7900 XT by 10% in ray-tracing https://www.techpowerup.com/revie...uf/34.html

He would incite a revolt, kill the magistrate, sack York, and behead the governor cousin to the weakling prince son of Edward the Longshanks. And then he would hold for prices to come down

Many future games will move beyond 8-10gb memory minimums soon. Laggy ddr5 makes it more essential to have at least 8gb now.
