I dont really need any of the accessories. Do yall think the 2 year Samsung care for $65 after the $150 discount is worth it?
You can get it for only $19 if you choose the one without theft and loss protection. That said, I was curious about this too and read some reddit threads about the service, and it's apparently pretty bad. Sounds like if you have credit card protection (many Amex, Chase and Citi cards include it), those are better than Samsung's.

Waiting for Best Buy to update their trade in value *holding fingers cross*
BBY already updated. Their trade values are half of Samsung but they have $150 gift card instead. Only top tier phones S23 Ultra/Fold5 and Iphone 15 have extra promo credit. Everything else is base value

trade in with S23 ultra is too much. Passing.
Yes, it's too much right now. It will very likely go down to the $250-300 range to trade in at some point. You just need to wait it out.

It shows $472.61 with the following discounts:
Galaxy Campus Offers Program: -$177.38
Buds2 Pro $149.49
$150 Instant Samsung Credit -$149.49
Instant Savings -$120

But when it goes to cart, its the following:
$552.49
Bundle Discount -$80.50
Promotional Discount -$120
Education Savings -$112.45
Instant Samsung Credit -$134.54

Wonder why the difference in the Instant Credit and Campus Offers.

Curious if I am missing something where the Verizon $1000 off is *not a good deal.

I trade in my S21+ on an eligible line and I believe the remaining cost is 36 month account credits (likely) coming out to $5/mo for the phone. At least that's what a Verizon rep told me.

I have a grandfathered Verizon contract where I'll probably never leave.
So in my case, that's just a decent deal....right?

I know some users here not kean on monthly credit deals.

I'm thinking about doing this as well since my s22 battery is shit.
I did this and got the same price plus the trio mat charger for $6, down from $90. Had to reorder because I skipped the accessories the first time due to it decreasing my trade in value. Just get trying and eventually got it so it didn't increase the price of the phone itself when I used the accessories credits. good deal for a two year old phone with a battery that won't last another couple years, much less the lofty SEVEN Samsung is, in theory, putting out that these can last. The snapdragons in the s23 and fold series these days are super efficient so I wouldnt necessarily doubt you could squeeze at least 5-6 years out, more if you really tried.

Samsung's site is so annoying; Always changing prices and showing accessories not in stock.

In all fairness (and I don't like it necessarily) the s23 ultra was/IS the first phone ever that feels brand new on day 365 as it did on day 1.

While it's fun to upgrade, there were always 2 reasons - 1. Performance 2. Gotta have the shiny new thing. We finally arrived where performance year on year isn't Giant anymore (for everyday tasks).

I gave my s23 ultra to my brother a few months ago, and been using Pixel 8. Used to LOVE pixels, but coming from S23 ultra, I hate this phone. If I still had s23u, I'd love the S24U but just as a new toy. I wouldn't upgrade actually. However since I don't have s23u anymore, I ordered S24U from Fi and can't wait to get rid of P8.

Perhaps when there's a next breakthrough in phones, I'll upgrade again after S24U. Likely will be when a truly GOOD fold hits the market. I did Fold 3 and Fold 4, regretted both, and ZERO desire to do Fold 5. A wider screen if on Fold 6 won't be enough to take me away from S24U.. it will have to be either a banging deal on s25, an amazing new product, or I'll stick with S24U and it may just be the first time I'll keep a phone more than a year ! It would've been s23u if I didn't have to give it away.
Curious what you disliked so much about the Folds? I've been sitting on an S22U, wanting to try a Fold, but have been waiting for their cameras to catch up to at least S22 or 23 level tech in zoom lenses. Paying more than a flagship candybar phone for a phone that has a neutered camera system just doesn't sit well with me. Currently debating now if it's worth just going for the S24U, or holding out to see what the Fold 6's cameras will be like.

Need to change plan to their highest tier ultimate to get $1k off. That and bill credits make it meh

So annoyed that I dropped my Note 9 and cracked the screen just 3 weeks ago...after 5 years of no issues. Drops the trade-in value from $400 to $200. Of course can't even really order yet since the discounts are all wonky. And I lost $68 in rewards points at the first of the year, so had to chat with customer service and they're issuing me a promo code to replace them, but I have to wait 24-48 hours for them to email it. I have a feeling I'm not going to end up with a new phone as soon as I hoped...
Annoying how they changed it from the screen being cracked to now including the body. The back glass on my Note 10+ is cracked. If I get it replaced either by Samsung NY or 3rd party would it bump my trade in value back up to $400? I'm assuming even if Samsung NY does it, it won't have the IMEI number anymore.

Are all "savings" options including education, first responder etc. capped at $20 now?
they seem to be hopping around (but mostly trending down). The EDU discount is currently only 30 bucks for the S24. It was 2x that while I had it on the screen and then created an educational account. Then added it and it dropped. I'm assuming they have been selling quantities that they are happy with and they are just adjusting some of the promotions slightly downward as they go.
