How do you get this to work if you only keep it for 4 months?
Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?

"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

Hi All, I preordered the s24 ultra and got $650 off. I just checked the Fi savings section the last requirement now is after I activate the phone once I received it, I'll get the $650 off. They removed the requirement for 120 days active service. Is this the same with you guys? Thanks
I see the same thing. But the check item for staying 120 days won't show up on the list AFTER the phone has been activated. Below are screenshots of my previous S23 Ultra deal, before and after activation.

Skip this nonsense and just buy from Samsung.com. An old Note 8 is trading in for $400, and it is completely unlocked. No nonsense.
I wish Samsung trade-in program gave you more than 15 days to send in the device tho. I need 30 days as I'll be out of the country.

Might go with BB as they'll give me $450 for my Note20 Ultra + $150 BB GC vs Samsung.com's $600. Pretty even deal tho I now have to spend more money at BB Frown

Project Fi's unlimited plus plan is pretty cool because they give you 4 free data only sim cards... I pop them in my kids phones and they call and text me through facebook messenger.. they arent at an age where they need a real phone number.. actuslly.. im not sure they ever will need one??
Just sign up for google voice if you need a #, although my kids use the apps now 95% of the time they can certainly get away with it. There are a few stubborn companies (mainly banking) that require "real" numbers so I just activate on Anveo the SMS function and I think it cost like 5c a text for the 5 times I need it per year. Even banking (LoL) is starting to go to real 2FA like authenticator apps. GV can run over data only.

BTW if you are into privacy FB messenger is a "data first" division if Meta. I would suggest you try Signal if you really want secure messages/voice. Even Whatsapp is better (and its a meta product) of course they can infer from your metadata so YMMV.

Honestly I rather buy directly from Samsung. Get a better deal and accessories for similar price.

I bought my galaxy s ultra from Google fi unlocked. Nothing but problems after switching carriers its confused and port wasn't complete. I've called multiple times. (I blame sprint towers 😂)

You can ask for a trade in extension on the last or 2nd to last day by contacting Samsung via chat.

Their faq used to say that everyone is automatically given a 7 day extension, but I'm not sure if it's still the same.

I did this twice successfully. Once the rep said it was done, I could go in and immediately see the new due dates in my order history.

Separately, you can also request an extension of the return policy, but it's already 30 days because you have 15 to request a label, and another 15 to mail the return once the request goes through. An extension would give you 45 days to return.

In my case, I was out of the country at the time I placed the order and had a relative who could return the device in case they denied the extension. Honestly, I wouldn't try it unless you have a similar situation where someone could ship it back as a return if the extension doesn't work out.

I will never trust Samsung with this.

Oh, that's a great suggestion. I will ask them right now. I'm purchasing the phone for a sibling. I won't be back till March 1st. So assuming I ship it out the second I get back, will need at least 30 days. Thank you.

sorry if this was already mentioned.
don't remember the fine details, but bought s22 on a similar deal (6month contract instead of 24 months on this one) from fi and used the s22 phone on my regular redpocket line and planned to use the fi line just for standby by turning off data.($20 then)
after a month started getting messages that unless i use the phone on fi line, they were gonna charge me for the rebate.
think i bypassed that by putting in the fi sim in the s22 phone once atleast a month or so.

Cancel the trade in and sell your s23 ultra for $600 at gazelle dot com. That's what I'll do or sell it on Facebook marketplace etc. Trade in values are low on google unfortunately
is gazelle dot com a reputable site to sell?

If I am on the Simply Unlimited plan can I upgrade to Unlimited Plus, buy the phone and then downgrade back to Simply Unlimited, while keeping the discount/credits? Technically I'm still on active service, but I don't know how Fi sees it

two things jumped out at me on s24

flat display across all models now even the ultra, nice

only 45w wired charging on plus/ultra and only 25 w on s24. bad. even my oldass 8t is 65w.
That's pretty typical. The OnePlus 8T uses proprietary technology (warp charging) which is patented by Oneplus and their parent company. Furthermore, they're essentially cheating a little bit since Oneplus is actually using two small batteries, not one big one. This makes it more complicated and not ideal in all situations.

I just ran two sims in the Fold4 with data disabled on the Fi sim and never got any messages.
