How do you get this to work if you only keep it for 4 months?
Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?

"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

Not that it's the case for me, but I am curious. Someone with an active S23 deal can order S24 today, finish out the S23 term (assuming it's within 30 days from whenever S24 ships), and then activate S24. Is that correct, or would ordering S24 now would invalidate the existing promo right away?
In an old Fi thread, someone who had about 5 days left on his current phone's promo ordered a new Fi phone then activated the new phone about 7 days later. It went fine for him. I was talking about people who has more than 30 days left to finish the promo on his current phone and wanted to order a new phone right away. If the new phone must be activated to meet the 30-day deadline, then he'll have problems.

Here are the steps I took as a former Fi customer who got the S23 Ultra deal on Feb 2023.
1) After 120 days, I canceled my Fi service approximately mid June 2023.
2) Signed in to my Fi account today using the same email address I used previously.
3) Selected Flexible plan and Bring Your Own Phone.
4) In the Bring Your Own Phone screen, clicked on the link where it said something like "check your phone for compatibility". I selected my spare unlocked Pixel 7 Pro.
5) Went through and completed the checkout process. It automatically selected eSIM in my case.
6) Installed Google Fi app on my spare unlocked Pixel 7 Pro phone. Upon launching Fi app, it immediately told me that there's a pending eSIM that I can download.
7) Went ahead and downloaded the eSIM and it activated Fi service (calls, text, and data) on my Pixel 7 Pro.
8) Went back to the Fi app and clicked on Store.
9) Selected S24 Ultra 512gb for $650 and completed the checkout process. Total for me was $700 and change after taxes.

Now what I'm not sure of are the next steps when the S24 Ultra arrives. Do I move the activated eSIM from Pixel phone to S24 (and how is this done)? Or do I order a new plan for the S24 and cancel the Pixel plan? Or do I order a physical SIM and move the service from eSIM to that physical SIM and install the physical SIM on the S24? I don't think I would want the eSIM service on the S24 since i plan on using that phone as my main phone with US Mobile. I'd want to use a physical SIM to activate the S24 so that once activated, i can put away that SIM for good. FYI...in the billing page of Fi, it says "Current Fi member activates new device within 30 days of shipment" and "Stay active on Fi for 120 days in a row".
If I was a betting man, I'd bet you will hit road bumps along the way. Rule of thumb with Fi is to wait minimum 24 hours before ordering after activation

what if i have google fi esim , and want to use another carrier esim ?

or the new phone will arrive with psim
I think you can toggle fi sim off in settings and use other sim, after activating eSim and placing a few calls

Anyone preordered but didn't get charged yet? I'm afraid my order wouldn't go all the way through or will they charge when it ships
If you log into your Fi account, do you see something like below that says you placed an order? If yes, you're fine. I placed my order around noon Central Time yesterday and my Paypal account shows a pending charge. But mine was one of the earliest orders. Later orders maybe are still being processed.

I cancelled my fi account in October 2023 but am seeing the 650 off. It looks like the system sees me as a existing customer. Does anyone know why ?

If so, I should be eligible to order and as long as I keep the account/line active for 120 days, it should be good, right ?

Will phone get delivered and successfully exit after 120 days?

Instead, buy from Samsung with better trade in values?

We get 150$ worth of watch or a12 5g phone as accessories.
Looks Samsung is hassle free for another 50$ if we are consider accessory credit
Keeping the phone you were going to trade in and selling it, Fi is much better

Yesterday I ordered a base S24 with a free upgrade to 256GB for $350 + $32 tax. I'll have to pay for 4 months of Fi service at $27 per month (taxes & fees included) (actually I have Fi credit to cover that, but let's assume I'll pay out of pocket). So my total cost is $490. I did not have anything to trade in. I'm not a student, first-responder, military member, educator. Tell me how I can get a deal on the Samsung website to beat that?

Are you saying if you were a student, first-responder, military member, educator Samsung would be better?

Fi considers you existing customer if you had service within 180 days. October is within that time frame

so yes, should be good provided you don't use sim in different phone, or use another Fi sim in new phone

Need to find a good case. Might as well go with AliExpress since we have time on our side and likely cheaper than Amazon

He's asking how he can get a better deal thru the Samsung site if he is not a first responder, military, etc.

OK, I purchased a new Fi plan and activated as an esim on my current phone and now I can see the $650 off deal. I will wait 24hrs as some have advised before placing the order just to be on the safe side.

Waiting 24hrs or not, it doesn't matter as well as the phone he wants is still available for purchase and the $650 promotion offer is available for him.

How does this compare to the Pixel Pro Homedogs?

I'm still using my S22. I'm going to wait until/if I actually use the S24 to buy a case. I bought cases for my S23, A54, Nokia G400 and ended up just including them for free when I sold those phones.
